aaronoafc Posted April 26, 2024 Posted April 26, 2024 Seems a lot of transfer rumours and discussions are crossing over on multiple threads. Thought I’d create a central thread for them all going into the summer. Step up Lukers1 Cian Hayes would be an excellent signing. A Tranmere mate of mine who’s usually spot on with their ITK stuff reckons we are in for 2-3 of theirs… Quote

StoodinaBoshell Posted April 26, 2024 Posted April 26, 2024 Would love Cian Hayes. Connor Barrett the Fylde RB, I think we're linked with at one point, is out of contract. Quote

Pete Wild throwing us another veteran to add more pace to our squad Like Garner, this league should be meat & drink to him, given the amount of experience he has. Might score a few more goals as well Quote

BradKnowles1 Posted April 26, 2024 Posted April 26, 2024 Some names which have been doing the rounds in different latics chats Im in. Paul Lewis Tranmere Jeff king chesterfield ash palmer chesterfield Cian Hayes seen on Twitter we need a right back Connor Barrett out of contract for fylde. Tylor Golden another we have visited before out of contract 1 Quote
Littlemoor Lad Posted April 26, 2024 Posted April 26, 2024 Madden would be the perfect replacement for Norwood, I think we should go all in for Conn-Clarke if Alty fail in the play offs. Quote

Slow, overweight, one footed, can't tackle or head the ball.... but the best footballer in the division. A modern John Robertson. 2 Quote
Clubfootkilkenny Posted April 27, 2024 Posted April 27, 2024 Don’t know the contact situation of these but id be going for, the bald headed Halifax midfielder, the Solihull midfielder with the long throw (if they don’t go up) and then go all out for that Haughton at fylde. Genuinely think he’s the best player in the league. All midfielders yes - but the most important position on the park, we’ve somehow ended up with a midfield consisting of players who wouldn’t get a game at chadderton. Got to keep Norwood at all costs and make him captain. Then all we need is a couple of steady full backs. 1 Quote
aaronoafc Posted April 27, 2024 Author Posted April 27, 2024 The RB at Fylde who is out of contract is in a lot of peoples/places team of the season for the NL. Must be worth a look 1 Quote

John Robertson was one of my favourite players of that time Dragged that ball along the touchline, beat his man and whipped in such inviting crosses for striker's to finish off. Brilliant 1 Quote

As Brian Clough described him "Give him a ball and a yard of space and he becomes an artist: the Picasso of football" or the other famous quote "we've got a little fat guy who will turn him inside out" 2 Quote

deyres42 Posted April 29, 2024 Posted April 29, 2024 Because signing a batch of ones Stockport no longer needed really worked well... 2 Quote

Hemel latic Posted April 29, 2024 Posted April 29, 2024 Either of the RBs mentioned (Barrett and Golden) would improve our team. As evidenced this season it doesn't matter who we play up top if we don't create chances. More pace and desire please. Quote

Never understood the bizarre reaction of some of our fans to ex players. It didn't work out here for Banks but he quickly got some stick (and his dad) making it hard to settle - sounds familiar with some of our current crop! He has twice won promotion from the National League and once from League 2. Who's laughing now? 4 Quote
