Scholes gone

When you're in a position to say fuck off if you want and it doesn't matter if you get sacked then in my view, walking away is bottling it

IMO for what its worth.... yes Scholes had difficult circumstances to work under - which he was aware of from day 1...yes I'm sure AL had a view on team selection  which he probably tried to influence Scholes with....and yes Scholes is financially secure and could afford to walk away

However IMO he thought he understood the situation, then realised he was out of his depth, couldn't cope with the day to day crap of lower league management and he bottled it - end of.

Resigning by text pretty much sums it up.....it's like my teenage lad binning his bird by text because he couldn't face telling her to her face....he bottled it!

Why? Scholes bottled it. Was in perfect position to stand his ground. If we had been winning I've no doubt he would have told AL to fuck off interfering. He realised he wasn't cut out for management and took the easy way out.

That's why he's said since he isn't going to go looking for another job. If he'd have enjoyed it and thought he was any good he'd be looking for another opportunity

Best staying well clear of management from here on in, no club could afford the dropped points.

Cost us dearly!

A man gives you the opportunity to have no strings with his attractive wife, because he's suffering from Pele-syndrome but wants to see his wife satisfied.

You decide to take this opportunity on.

A week into said relationship and there you are, getting down to business with this attractive woman.  Before you've even managed to change position, the husband walks in and starts smearing his flaccid member all over the show, instructing you on where to put your own and what to do with it.

You decide to get up, wipe whatever is there on the curtains, pop your clothes on and get the fuck out of there.  No explanation required, you just leave.

That's not bottling it.

Thats a rather odd analogy but I agree with sentiment.

Unless the chap stepping in for the flaccid husband couldn't get it up either, then left....

Paul Scholes fined £8000 for placing 140 bets whilst manager of Oldham.

That is incorrect Mike, the bets were between 7 August 2015 and 12 January 2019.

Literally nothing to do with Oldham.

I've been running training sessions this morning on a current industry issue where so much of wehat is being reported in the press is wrong, misleading and damaging.  Nothing to do with this subject but it happens so often that when you know a lot of detail about a subject and the reporting is so obviously wrong one has to assume the same is the case when reading about a suibject of no knowledge.
