Apart from it being a North West club.

I have heard his interview and read the articles and at no point has he said that it's a club in the North West. SC said that he is a champion of the North West, but that's all.

One thing I do wonder about if he does takeover the Latics - where will he find the time to devote to the club ?

He's all sorts of global businesses to run.

Over 100 racehorses trained by 20 trainers to keep tabs on.

Salford Reds rugby to oversee.

Racing, rugby and football TV channels in the offing.

A family life.

Probably other irons in the fire.

He was on GMR radio, why would he be talking about a club in PLymouth. or wherever, And Simon Corney's reaction was very telling.

ALso all his interests are in the NorthWest.

Am sure he won't polish his own work boots and iron his overalls before this weeks set of 6-2's. He'll be fine!

Every quote I've seen attributed to Mr Cool cash he states 'we' when talking about buying stuff. That say's to me more than one person spending. Still if this comes off then I'll get giddy. Until am a true old fashioned Latics fan.

Maybe sc will stay on in some capacity? Or he'll appoint someone to run the club?

Why would any new owner keep Corney around? What would he have to offer?

I would imagine Corney would love to be free of it, to be honest.

I'm sure I read a post on here that suggested keeping Corney as an ambassador.

It caused corn flakes to exit my mouth via my nostrils.

Yeah why would you want to keep someone that turned a club around from losing £800K a year to one that made a profit. Just crazy.

You think Corney is responsible for the last couple of years being profitable?

Should move this into the 'typical latics' thread due to:

Usual attitude of some fans thinking it would be bad for the club! A new wealthy owner wanting to pump money into the club and move the club forward instead of steady decline that we've become accustomed to, yeah we wouldn't want that now would we!

Would love to see this happen and bring some excitement around the place although can't help but feel it'll end up in the 'typical latics' thread by missing out on this due to TTA over valuing the club.

Could I ask. It appears apparent to me from a large amount of post's made by yourself and other admin of this site a distinct downer on all things Corney, why is that? what's the history?
