Sky Sports reporting that Ronnie Moore is being investigated about an alleged breach of betting rules

Do any bookies offer a 'Number of headers in 90 mins' market on games?

He probably backed Tranny to win !!!!!

Or won a fortune backing them to lose ??

Tranmere fans are saying that he was betting on them to lose, and the players knew about it.

I hope he put a load of money on them to lose at Boundary Park and then lost it when it turned out the referee had bet on Tranmere to win, the absolute total :censored:.

I don't think he's been involved in anything dodgy, he's probably just said something without thinking it through

Are you willing to lay money on that?

Allegedly.

Can everyone be careful. Ta.

Sorry, thought by saying "Tranmere fans are saying...." that I was making it clear that it was mere speculation. Feel free to delete if it's libellous. Not the bit about him being an absolute :censored:, though, that's irrefutably true.

Well, you'd be wrong.

Club for sale for years- no takers. Club for sale advertised on e-bay = laughing stock. Trust aims to raise £ 500,000 to buy club- over 3yrs or so can barely raise £ 170,000, most of which comes from outside our area- terribly sad.. Match fixing allegations levelled against team members- embarrassment. Betting irregularities levelled against manager- doubly embarrassing. Team playing dismal football and scratching to stay above relegation zone. Team stuffed with ever changing list of lone players- depressing. Attendances plummeting with lowest league gate for over 20yrs- gut wrenching. Probably many more depressing situations surrounding our club at the moment which will be dropped on us. Over-reaction, maybe but I've broken my rose coloured glasses.

This is my favourite.

Although, they're in a similar position to us? In some senses anyway.

It wasn't sure that it wasn't one of their fans having a pop at us for the most part

Don't laugh

That sounds remarkably similar to us. A few defeats and we will see posts like that surfacing on here.

Club for sale and no takers - check

Match fixing allegations against players - check

Team made up of too many loan players - check

Dwindling attendances - check

Supporters Trust that's ineffective - check

Hovering just above the relegation zone - check

We just don't have Ronnie Moore as our manager but they could argue they have 4 stands. We have more in common with Tranmere than we would like to admit.

The rule does seem very broad. For instance if I read it correctly nobody who has played or managed in a FA Cup tie , even a qualifying round , can have a bet on the final.

I think they should broaden the rule further.

Any professional footballer or football club employee should not be allowed to get on any football.

Makes sense though, if the Mancs and Liverpool go out early then the Cheeses keeper can affect the odds for the winner by throwing a couple into his net against Stoke in the quarter final
