ChaddySmoker
Tonight's the night we get our 10th draw of the season! The big question in selection is if Higdon should come back in for Philliskirk. Other than that, it should stay the same as Saturday. Did you even go on Saturday? The whole formation will have to be changed if Higdon plays tonight! Burn cannot play btw.
blueatheart
Lee Power was on TalkSport earlier. There's no audio of it up on the website yet. He owns the club outright after buying them as part of a consortium when they were losing £5m a year and now balances the books. They have a model based on them developing talent and selling on for decent money & also for developing Premier league loanees meaning they're offered better players than the likes of us. The line wasn't great but it sounded like he was saying he does all the player recruitment and has a coaching team that will stay in place and that whichever manager comes in will have to buy into their way of doing things and a prescribed style of play. He said that the passing, attacking style of play also helps towards getting good money for their players and attracting top Prem loans. The manager is just there to pick the team and make substitutions. I'm sure he said the manager wouldn't be expected to get involved in coaching either. Sounds very NFL. Just nowhere near as complicated a game...
HarryBosch
Sounds very NFL. Just nowhere near as complicated a game... Or does it simplify things? One system for identifying signings, one style of play & one style of coaching. The Manager, while in the "loop", can just concentrate on man management, motivation and tactics/scouting the opposition.....

leeslover
Sounds like the system Clive Woodward put in at Southampton and the likes of Swansea are looking to follow. And Brentford. But forget about Brentford.
josh_latics
Cornell, Dummigan, B.Wilson, J.Wilson, Lafferty, Kelly, Fulton, Winchester, Jones, Philliskirk, Higdon. Wilson-Wilson partnership at centre half. What's Timmy done wrong?

oafc1955
We need to start winning games and tonight would be a good time to start. Let's be honest if we can't beat a Swindon team in absolute turmoil who the hell can we beat. This could, I hope, be a season changing game, however, lose this one and I really don't know where we go from here!

palmer1
Dieng must do :censored: all in training! Another one who ends up out of favour with every manager we have for some reason .
ddot_m
Does Dieng have a niggle? Does Dunn hate the French? I was looking forward to a J Wilson Dieng partnership!!! Must want some experience or something. Edited October 20, 2015 by ddot_m
TheBlueNoodle
If I were Dieng id just look elsewhere. Easily good enough to be in the first team, we are taking the piss out of him

Dave_Og
Fleetwood tonight at Sheff United They were non-league a few years ago. If they suddenly acquired a huge supporter base they'd be labelled as glory hunters
disjointed
Credit to those Fleetwood fans, if you finish work at 4.30 to get to Sheffield at rush hour can be a nightmare.
GlossopLatic
Anyway we are winning 2-1 and the much maligned Danny Philiskirk has scored 2 in 2 for us.
