Does your negativity colour other aspects of your life? Although that question does make an assumption ...

Go on happy clapper tell me how great we are for getting an injury time draw at Coventry!!! You want to question me yet I cant make my own judgements on our clueless manager whose taking us down. Keep clapping ********** the end is nigh.

Cornell may need to improve on crosses but it still sounds from the text reports that he had a decent game:

• 20’ Cole delivers the ball into the box but Cornell holds confidently.

• 22’ Cornell out quickly to deny Armstrong a chance on goal. Good goalkeeper, again.

• 38’ Good save, Cornell! Jim O’Brien gets half a yard in the box, shoots, but Cornell is down well to save, and hold the ball.

• 93’Attempt saved. Jim O'Brien (Coventry City) right footed shot from outside the box is saved by Cornell in the top right corner

Didn't you say a draw at Coventry would be a great result?

I get why you go on and on with your personal attacks on Dunn when we lose. I may disagree with most of what you say but I can see where it's come from.

But to be slagging off fellow fans who are enjoying a late equaliser away at a team who's form and position is pretty much the exact opposite to ours is totally bizarre.

We've had a :censored: year, and today has hopefully given the team, management and fans a small pre Christmas boost. But yet you still come on just to put up several negative posts again. Why bother? For most of us the majority of our latic supporting lives have been mostly disappointing with the occasional spell or moment of enjoyment/excitement.

Today was one of those. What's wrong with enjoying that? Doesn't mean people are booking their Wembley hotels for May.

Imagine being so sad that you focus on it - I was being ironic since a poster above decided to ignore the fact we are :censored: to say that Barnsley losing today was a positive.

Get over yourself

Why wouldn't Barnsley losing be anything other than a positive? Most of the results, except Blackpool, were generally favourable, but Barnsley is especially enjoyable (FOR ME). Johnson's Barnsley losing is always sweet and VERY POSITIVE FOR ME. Be as ironic as you want, though why you should feel the need is beyond me.

:censored:ing hell - rain on my parade for no obvious reason. Trying to enjoy a Saturday for once, and all you get is :censored:ty arsed comments.

I'm off to put my head in a bucket whilst sitting in a corner shaking with sadness because my attempt to look at the positives has come crashing down in flames.......

Dunn got his starting tactics wrong today. Set out not to concede. We couldn't strings two passes together first half and hardly ventured into the Coventry half. It was very poor, coventry were pretty :censored:e but we were making them look good. It was just a mtter of time. No changes ans started the same in the 2nd half and we were 1 down before we knew it.

Then when we had no choice but to attack we looked a completely different team and absolutely deserved the draw after the last 30 mins.

Good important point today. Leaves us probably needing a playing record of 7 9 9 to stay up. are we good enough to do that?

PS wellens playing in Kelly position...is Kelly in January sale?

Looks likely? Barnsley will no doubt want him.

I thought it was a massively improved performance and a thoroughly merited point.

The shape of the team was better right from the off. All their opportunities came from poor mistakes in possesion that were just basic individual errors.

We had to claw our way into the game with a tight and narrow shape that attempted to blunt their width and pace, but expanded our game as the half went on. Eckersley in particular was a massive improvement and provided attacking threat before half time. Finally we started to get some support to Cassidy and Coventry were increasingly frustrated.

Their goal was a sucker punch and another goalkeeping error from Cornell. He simply has to come and get that ball. Teams will know that they can swing balls into our 6 yard box and turn our centre backs towards our own goal. He has to help them out otherwise we are incredibly vulnerable to that delivery.

We did respond though and started to find pockets of space in front of their back 4. We pressed aggressively high up the pitch, created width in their final third, and without looking incredibly likely got the point out approach merited.

This has to be a starting point moving forward. After a horrific run of points and performances both manager and players deserve some credit.

Well I hit zero twice on the roulette in the casino which pretty much paid for the trip, yet I still wasnt as lucky as Latics.

Theres no question that the 11 out there were well organised, there wasnt really an awful performance by any one player out there and Coventry didn't really dominate the game despite clearly having the better players.

But the lack of attacking intent by the team for 88 minutes was difficult to take. I have no problem with 4-5-1 away if there is an obvious threat in the team on the break. Our starting line up didnt have that, but worse was when Dunn made the double sub which, as well as being overdue, kept us with one isolated up front. Poleon isnt equipped to do that role, Cassidy is but barely. Why it took us 88 minutes to play with 2 up front is baffling. They weren't particularly good today and didnt really deserve to win, yet we were lucky to get the draw.

Cornell - didnt have a lot to do, but the only thing he did wrong was the fumble at the end.

B Wilson - pretty solid at right back and made a few decent bursts forward.

Dieng - other than a few dodgy passes early on, I thought he did well.

J Wilson - some of his hoofs down field were shocking. Defended well otherwise.

Eckersley - better than Mills defensively, not as good as Mills going forward.

Defence as a whole was very good from open play, the corners show just how much we need a dominant bruiser.

Winchester - steady on the right. Unfortunately the team required more from him when we had the ball due to a lack of other creative options.

Kelly - not his best but still a decent performance. He should get a lot more freedom to get forward playing alongside Wellens.

Wellens - debatable as to whether hes a necessity for us for the rest of the season, but he was a calming presence and is still clearly good enough for this level.

Philliskirk - similar to Winchester but with the massive bonus of popping up with the equaliser. Its becoming a habit!

Jones - much better when he moved into the middle. He'll do a job for the team but we dont get the most out of him on the left.

Cassidy - it was a thankless task but he worked hard for the team. He's mobile and strong enough to play the role he did adequately, but he's naturally a support striker and needs another striker alongside him.

Sub's

Yeates - didnt do much in the 15 minutes he played, but looked more comfortable than our other wide players.

Poleon - he isn't a lone striker and switching him for Cassidy didnt help until...

Higdon - ...we went two up top with this man. I could see him, Cassidy and Poleon all being able to play in a front two with each other but on their own doesn't give us enough in attack.

Dunn - not impressed. Sub's and tactical changes came very late and next time will not work. He can get us organised away from home but that alone won't win us enough games between now and May. The big question is can we afford relegation. If yes then let's give Dunn a bit of time so see how he can grow, if no then the board might have to make a bold decision in the near future.

We stifled them very well although there wasnt much we could do about Cole's corner for the goal. Great quality set piece.

Overall a great day out at the ground and casino, with a lot of luck involved!
