mcfluff1985
Was told by academy coach few years ago he'd put his house on an England cap for him Edited April 25, 2016 by mcfluff1985
NewBlue
How tall is he? Wikipedia says 6"6 but that's bollocks. That save from the curling shot by Inman against Crewe was incredible.

That's what it says on the OS as well: http://www.oldhamathletic.co.uk/team/player-profile/joel-coleman/

johnafoafc
Just out of interest, does any statto know how clean sheets Coleman has kept? He seems to have kept a fair few in the forty odd appearances he's made. Edited April 25, 2016 by johnafoafc

johnafoafc
Not a bad ratio then, especially compared to other keepers we've had over the past few years.
Scapegoat
Not a bad ratio then, especially compared to other keepers we've had over the past few years. Even more so considering it's not been in a successful team
johnafoafc
Even more so considering it's not been in a successful team Absolutely, which is why the club should be doing their utmost to get him tied down on a long-term deal.

SavageTheBeast
How do people compare him to Daniel Bentley at Southend seems a host of premier league clubs are after him. The two games I've seen him he's not stood out.
ChaddySmoker
I'd be giving Coleman a three or four year deal. The point being that even if we get a better keeper, he is a good enough backup. The point is that we wont! Priorities should lie in other areas, like 3 decent midfielders and 3 decent strikers

Out of our current lot he'd be the first I offered a new contract to

Well if you re-read my post, it makes it quite clear that even if we do manage to sign a better keeper, he is more than good enough as a backup. I'm not for one minute suggesting that we do actively seek a better keeper, just that there is no risk in us giving him a long term contract and thus securing our asset. Don't bother having to explain harder blueheart - I understood exactly where you where coming from, and I'm sure most do, but some people just want to take a point of view deliberately to an extreme level.
