adamoafc
Back page of the chron has 'McLaughlin on the move?' Knew there was interest would be gutted if he left he is a huge player for us now.
nzlatic
I think he's a very good player, but for me his only really effective position is right wing. So if we're planning on playing 3-5-2 and we get a good bid then using that money to strengthen central midfield could be a worthwhile trade off. deyres42
I think he could play in a 3, no problem.
Laticfanatic1
A user posted this the other day and as per usual was laughed at. Interesting
palmer1
he is a must keep for me and would be gutted to see him go. He can cross the ball for fun and often did last season. The difference this season is we have a big strike force to get on the end of them...
dec666
I’d be okay with McLaughlin leaving if that rumour about Douglas was true.
mikejh45
Can we sacrifice Banks & Flynn instead? We have a dearth of quality wide players but centrally, without those 2, we will still have Fane, Gardner, Green and possibly Fawns. In Banks's case, to which deity would it be a ritual sacrifice? Latics_Fanatic
I was going to buy a shirt with McLaughlin on the back... best hold off then.

BP1960
Maybe trialist Reagy Ofusu will be signed?
oafc-latics
He's probably one of our only sellable players, but that doesn't mean we should sell. He can play a number of positions, he's got potential to improve, and a right hand side of him and Dummigan would be dangerous this season. Plus, we've got four central midfielders already so sacrificing McLaughlin for Douglas seems strange.
Blue_Guru
Would you sell him if it financed a deal for Ripley permanently?
PlayItLivo
Tbf McGlaughlin is a disgrace. He whored himself out with that Tweet and once Barca knew he was interested it was only a matter of time before they came knocking.

Mouth On Legs
I was told the figures and clubs that are in for him and thats Sunderland and Wigan with the fee around 600k This money would be used to bring a high profile but older defensive midfielder who for me would still be a cut above League One as well as fund a move for Conor Ripley this could be the reason why we haven't signed Conor. archiecat
Now then, a real alternative to the Ripley thread guess the identity of the high profile midfield target Kante?
Crusoe
Douglas, presumably, based on previous posts here.

Nope was just told directly to my face on Thursday whilst stood in the new stand assisting a friend who was working at the ground. Don't be too surprised to see Douglas as a trialist on Thursday. Don't believe that fee for a minute. If it was offered, we should snap their hands off.
