Take a mine full of salt with anything he says.

Five minutes before he tweeted that Scholes will takeover with Phelan as his assistant, he had tweeted (since deleted) that the Scholes story was just a publicity stunt and Wellens was certain to get the job.

I think it might be Postman Matt to be honest.

If this with Scholes happens I can’t see it being Legasam behind it. Mostly coz I’m told he wanted a foreign manager. Fast thinking he’s moving on now he’s got his players in with us (we shall see if he’s spotted at the game this weekend). And I’m fast thinking that investor number 2 (who has sat waiting in the wings since Corneys first interview said there were 2 potential new investors) has come into play now.

I personally think we've got in a bit deep with AL for there to be any other option.

Not sure sbout that, AL may have been recruited on a short term basis to bring in investors, his job may now be done and we await who is really taking over the club.

Only if AL’s intentions have been anything more than playing Corney and just sticking his players in an English club. Stay tuned.

I'm curious, If The AL deal falls through and we've signed these 6 extra players, who pays their wages? Or are we suppose to be paying them now?

Any well run club would have insisted on an appropriate exit clause to these contracts!

The wild and unconfirmed story is that AL has paid OAFC a non-refundable deposit to look at the books and have first go at buying the club.

As part of the deal Corney agreed to take on more players.

True?  False?  I've not got a clue, but there is some logic in the madness.

Fancy paying good money to look at the books............................Should have just said he was a supporter taking up Corneys offer of 'come in and look at the books'

If that's true it would be extremely worrying that we still couldn't pay September wages on time,

I suspect any deposit he paid was always non-refundable whether he agreed to it or not.

Maybe paying money buys you a look at the books, rather than 'the books'.
