ceskylatic
4-4-2 GK Norman DL Kitching DC Raglan DC Hogan DR Shelton (until a new DR is signed) ML Dickenson MC Sheron MC Gardner MR Green (if fit) STR Norwood STR Reid Subs: Nuttall, Fondop, Hobson, Hudson, Willoughby. No pace against Southend, Reid and Green give us that, and Gardner in to carry the ball forward (at least until he invariably goes off injured).

LaticMark
Looks like we all want New RB to start on Saturday!
yarddog73
With what we have (4-1-3-2) Norman Shelton Hobson Raglan Kitching Sheron Green/Tollitt if injured Lundstrum/Gardner if injured Dickenson Fondop Norwood Subs; Hudson Hogan Willoughby Reid Gardner or Tollitt if not used. Midfield options are piss poor.
oafc1955
Is Willoughby a striker, a midfielder or a wide player. It seems ridiculous that after chasing him for what seemed like ages we’ve still hardly seen him play!

Best games I've seen him play are as a lone striker with runners in midfield, that's not going to happen under Unsworth though.

hollandspies
If you fancy getting it right, then why hasn’t anyone shaped the side around Nuttall, Hobson, Hogan, and Raglan all starting? Aren’t these already nailed on?

Aren’t these already nailed on? bc it comes out in a 352, keep up l still think it could work with green and a proper match mentality. l'm far more concerned by the mindset than the formation. we also have five central strikers, so 352 or 442 is the best way to ONLY leave out three players! l have advocated a 433 or 343 of Willoughby Norwood Reid but l'm shoe horning if l'm honest. l'll be very, very interested in body language all this week and on saturday. we picked up five yellows and a red whilst being meek as fuck at weekend. for me thats wholly unacceptable, reds and yellows are an inevitable by product of aggressively winning Football matches. ShireBlue
Unless we sign a specialist RWB or a RB who can do that roll justice, I’d go 4 at the back. We’ve 3 strong NL centre halves but one’s going to have to step aside. Hopson was far from convincing in preseason at RB, so it’s all hanging on any transfer movement. I’d stick Shelton/Sheron at RB but if Ward and Lundstram are out it leaves us short in midfield. FFS Latics. Why can’t you be normal?
