Well I actually went and we were the better team and had the better chances. Thought they all played well though McGahey looked the weakest link. Lundstram played his part ( put a decent reverse pass into Dallas for the penalty ?), Dallas showed the form he's capable of and Norwood had his best game for us. You need to go and have a night out with @GKing521 you'd have a soulmate !
Guy Branston Pickle
I know he missed a couple today but thought Dallas played well alongside Norwood, I'd definitely have them two as my starters in the run in. Hopefully Conlon can start to play like that consistently too

League one forever
That was the best 90 minute performance at home all season, we looked a quality side. We could and should have scored at least 4, and bar their goal and a very dubious penalty- Hudson only made one other save. We definitely deserved the 3 points on the balance of play. Pro’s. To a man every player worked their bollocks off, and was strong in tackle. We played much further up the pitch and pressed well. The passing was much, much, better and a lot of them proved today that can actually play the game. We didn’t panic in possession and played through the lines. Magehy had a great game at right back. Kitching had best game in about 2 months. Conlon,& Dallas had their best game in a Latics shirt. The shape (433) suited us much better. Norwood got frustrated at times - but the big difference today was, he didn’t sulk and his workrate was brilliant. That’s the type of performance I want him, yes bollock people but lead by example as well. Quality. Cons. Where is that performance against lesser teams at home????? 3
IanMarshall's Mullet
Good entertaining game and I'm satisfied with the performance. Allegedly Norwood refused to go to pick up his MOM award from the sponsors and Liam Hogan did it instead. Any truth in that? Seems weird but I'm not surprised after seeing James's accept the one against Hendon. He was rightly pissed off then.
ceskylatic
Chesterfield played a very high defensive line giving us and especially Dallas lots of space to run into behind them. Front two were excellent today and was good to see Dallas having a positive impact. Is Hobson injured?
GKing521
Unsure why I’m getting panned again. Sounds to me like we missed multiple clear chances and then got pegged back by Chesterfield’s B team. Also, if James Norwood is still here next season, I will fall over in shock. Why would he want to play for a team that has fans fetching the Moet after surrendering a two goal lead to a reserve team that barely turned up. 6 games left to scrape into the top 7. Can it be done? I don't necessarily disagree with this bit - not the Norwood part. We played well, really well. But we haven't won a game that we have been pretty much completely dominant in. It's a very disappointing result, regardless of the lofty position of the opposition...

Because you've freely admitted you've not watched the game then headed straight on here to whinge and gloat when we didn't win.

Waiting for the ref to blow?? Was it a pen for them? Either way, you can't let someone burst into your area like that and not expect to be in trouble. Liked that formation and line up even if it took a while to sink in that McGahey was right back and Lundstrum was on the right. Didn't look a pen. Looked to me like he just dropped
Dickie Down
I thought Conlon was head and shoulders the best player on the pitch.
