deckyd
Wonder will we go for Kanu from Barnet- was there not rumors floating about round Jan? Beckett was some signing back in the day, we have had a few to be fair (every now and again!)

It didn't work out here for Banks but he quickly got some stick (and his dad) making it hard to settle - sounds familiar with some of our current crop! He has twice won promotion from the National League and once from League 2. Who's laughing now? Indeed. We were in L1 which is probably a tier too high for him. Chesterfield fans love him and are hoping he’s retained by the way.

Decent player but not sure if he's still under contract at Halifax

We actually don't run around alot at all if anything we are a very static team which doesn't press and gets regularly out ran in games, although I do take your point about players needing to be able to do abit more than just run. For the record Ollie Banks is far better than any of our midfielders and he's someone who got way more grief than he deserved while here. Too many opponents knocking it around at the back against a half-hearted attempt. I remember being at Hartlepool when Josh Stones badgered the life out of their defence, won back possession and set up Norwood for a goal. A few like him would do nicely. Indeed and if Norwood is going to be here next season to get the best out of him at his age hes going to need a partner and one who can do his running for him in the way Stones can. Fondop could do that too and could also win the ball in the air but he's getting over 30 himself plus his injury record isn't the best plus he does occasionally do stupid things so we can't totally rely on him.
