Ah, sorry!

I guess it relates more to us (and all club right now), must be more to come, especially in L1 and 2 which could mean farcical league tables with points deductions all over the place for those clubs that survive

Maybe Wigan's Chairman (Darren Royle) or one of the Directors (Joe Royle) would like too comment!

The International Entertainment Corporation (IEC), who bought Wigan in 2018, were rumoured to have been linked with (the real) Latics before they moved on to the Plastics.

Bank rolled by Mr Dave Whelan for years 👏👏

Relegated from Premier League in 2013

c£50m in parachute payments from the Premier League

Mr Whelan sells the Club in 2018

Average Home attendances of 10,000 (likely only 7,500-8,000 Wigan at best)

Arguably bought their two League One titles in 15/16 and 17/18

Only heading one way werent they

Unlike the painful and very wrong demise of Bury FC ,  I feel nothing for Wigan

What we would have given at any point over the last 30 years for a local who cared about our club buying it and investing in it.

Yep - if only Norman Stoller was a Latics fan. He of the "tubular bandage" that used to be advertised on Mumps Bridge. Already given over £50m away via his charitable trusts.

Interesting thread. May only work if you have twitter though.

And we thought AL was a bad owner. We have to be careful what we wish for maybe.

Asking for things to be done correctly I don’t think means we should be careful what we wish for.

To be fair, they were sponsors at the club for awhile.

I did have a conversation about latics with his secretary about 18 months ago and he was pretty sure that his charity work was his focus now.

Similarly to cricket spot fixing I wonder what sort of bookie would ever take big bets on such obscure events without wondering why someone would wish to place them
