ddot_m
Now wouldnt it be ironic if we went on and did the unthinkable this season. Yes it would... Perhaps Lockwood is Mourinho in disguise... Or the bald bloke that keeps trying to make people go to Nandos the new Alex Ferguson?
Blue_Guru
All Part of SC's mission to sell the club upon completion of the new stand! Wardie
I was more gutted when Sheridan went, we won games with him. Yeah, I was gutted too...I'm just being nostalgic for the old days. I've had enough of all this managerial turnstile crap at Latics.
BP1960
We will be alright with FFP next season, LJ will come in with a 500k bid for Kelly & Wilson close season although they will be undisclosed bids of course. In that case its £350,000 each. Edited February 25, 2015 by BP1960
palmer1
I don't normally bother when players/managers leave us, I had no problem with Porter/Furman/Baxter etc and I clapped Dickov when he came back, it happens, clubs show very little loyalty to them at times so you can't really expect it back, but I believed in Johnson, believed that he was here to take us forward and improve with us, in all that one team one dream :censored:. First time in a long while I will feel really let down my someone if they leave us. This is exactly how i feel, first time in many years ive felt this way about someone leaving Latics. Jumped up little prick .........feel a bit better now
PlayItLivo
I was more gutted when Sheridan went, we won games with him. Shez had his time. We were in freefall badly under him after such a promising start. He had to go, we were powder puff in those last 6 or so games.

singe
Almost as gutted as when Joe Royle departed for Everton. Behave. That is the most ridiculous thing.. And I compared Johnson to Royle. His only achievement is to stop us from relegation. Compared to what Joe achieved. Johnson has the makings of Royle, but has a very very long way to go. Snookmeister
And another couple hundred off the crowd, when will this bunch of muppets realise that short term greed will send you one way and its not up. ....and the usual complete absence of any kind of decent PR from the club. Not a word from Corney, dancing around the subject from LJ, despite knowing full well what he was going to do. The fans, as usual get the big two fingers. singe
I was on about the sense of betrayal, not actually comparing their managerial qualities. OK, but even so , Joe hardly betrayed us, he stuck with us through thin and thick. He still achieved so much for us. Johnson jumped ship first opportunity. beag_teeets
Johnson's not betraying us either. Some people need to take a step back and have a think about things.
PlayItLivo
Could say the same about Johnson with 8 defeats in 13. We aren't going backwards under LJ though Even if we were to finish top 12 it would be progress. Shez had more money, a deeper squad, with more overall quality. Where we are under LJ is somewhat of an achievement, how badly we fell under Shez was inexcusable. And I was a late, late boarder of the Shez out float that had been going around since Doggygate

Johnson jumped ship first opportunity. I am saying a "sense of betrayal" as a personal feeling. The same won't necessarily apply to everyone else. We all have our opinions. But this was a reply to a sense of betrayal by LJ to on par with Joe Royle.

Jumping ship at 33 year old with possibly a further 30 year managerial career to move to effing Barnsley might turn out to be professional suicide! If he had left to go to a Championship Club or even Preston, Sheff Utd etc I think most of us would have understood and wished him all the best! Even Coventry and Peterborough have some potential BUT Barnsley EFFING Barnsley What a stupid choice!
