Transfer embargo...

Recommended Posts

I reckon I can see where this is going.

Nonaenever goes and has an amicable, adult like chat. He seems like he knows what he's talking about.

He will get answers to concerns etc and post those answers on here then the usual guys will claim nonaenever is now Corney's puppet

The "usual guys" as you refer them to can propose questions to be asked anyway, so whoever decides to take Corney to task will be doing so with full backing from those on here.

mcfluff - agree there is a risk of that - but I have thick enough skin to cope hopefully! The bigger risk is that whoever does this sort of thing can end up being ego centric i.e. it becomes more about them than the cause (feelings of self importance because they met the Chairman etc). If there's one thing I can guarantee, it's not in my character to be like that. I really do care about the club and I am trying to step back and see how the fans can help to secure our future. I envisage a lot of hard work, a long term project, a very hard ride at times - and definitely no egos allowed.

Yes, I had to "sell myself" a little bit when asked for my credentials on the other thread - but once all that is established it's back to a down to earth fella who simply wants to try and help Latics - and has some useful experience to offer if it's wanted.

I wonder if all of this is the reason why the Lincoln game is pay on the gate? .. I know they're supposed to have a decent 'end' for us all to go into, and I know it's on TV and Monday night etc .. but could that still of not been a risk of over capacity and therefore trouble etc etc .. just wondering if it's anything more than a coincidence!

Big stand. Modest Monday night following.

I wouldn't read much into it.

It should be a simple online banking process for monies to be re-directed to the home club after each ticket sale.

The more and more you read about it the more acceptable it seems that this is common practice for clubs like us & between each other.

Pay when you can within reason but remember that until you do the League won't let you sign anyone (even if you could) and remember we'll be selling a load (maybe not in Rochdale's case) of your tickets later on this season and, obviously, you won't be getting that money if we've not had ours. But we might need you to return the favour and give us a bit of time....

I'm sorry but it really isn't!

He's saying it should be, not that it is. And it should be if there weren't other cashflow issues at play, shouldn't it?

Bank the cash, add it to the card payments, deduct our £1 per ticket, transfer it - what are me and BP missing?

I may have misunderstood. I thought he meant after every single ticket sold? It would be really hard to automate/reconcile and would be labour intensive to do it manually. Edited by jorvik_latic

Maybe people will now realise Shez and Evans had a better view on the immediate future of our club and decided to bail whilst they could, rather than accuse them of being money grabbers.

The two positions are not mutually exclusive. Shez went for money 100% and Evans wanted the Forest job. Looks like it may backfire on Shez and it did backfire on Evans. Good.

Both those statements about Shez and Evans are guesses, for somebody who pulls people up a lot on that you sure are guilty of it yourself a lot. Care to prove those two statements with any kind of factual evidence?

FROM THE BBC

Notts County are to face their second winding-up petition of the year brought by HM Revenue and Customs.

The case against the League Two side is to be heard on 19 December, having had a separate order dismissed in May.

Notts, who are 15th in the fourth tier after 18 games, were also put under a temporary transfer embargo in May for money owed to football creditors.

The club, which was put up for sale by owner Ray Trew in February, declined to comment when contacted by the BBC.

Trew met potential buyers from the United States and China in March and, with no deal struck, he later approached local businessman Alan Hardy about a potential takeover in October.

................ I assume that's a different Alan Hardy then? :omg:

Dec 2015 - Club struggles to pay players

Dec 2015 - Club borrows £241k from Necarcu Ltd

Mar 2016 - Club arranges get rich quick scheme with ST offer (presumably to pay Necarcu Ltd back)

Mar 2016 - Club sees Latics win 3 games which reduces ST's by £150 each (the gamble backfired)

May 2016 - Club reduces wage bill to complete minimum for 2 months of close season by reducing playing staff to 5 players

June 2016 - Club faces winding up order but settles this to avoid any further action

July 2016 - Nov 2106 - Club appoints rookie manager & cobbles together a side. Club sees barely any more ST's bought due to March offer while pay on the day is so poor the club reduce the prices to £15.

Nov 2016 - Transfer Embargo on club

-----------------------------------------------------

It's not hard to join the dots above.

I don't think it's hard to see what happens next. The club isn't being sold. Not until houses are built all behind the Chaddy, over Little Wembley and wherever else they can fit them. The monies will finish off the OEC. Then they will be able to command the extortionate (if the £24m figure is true...which I've heard from a few people I would expect to know or have a good idea of) amount for the club, land and stand. So in the meantime, this austerity continues to the breaking point. It feels closer and closer with each chapter from Corneys book.

The short term plan now (if you can call this a plan) is that we either have to beat Lincoln and pull a top side in the Cup (get lucky again basically.) Or we have to go borrowing from Necarcu Ltd or whoever else again. The problem with borrowing is that the ever decreasing circle has shrank to almost nothing. We have no players as saleable assets, we have no sell-on clauses left coz we've cashed them in, we have barely any pay on the day attendees. We might be able to do another Season Ticket get-rich quick scheme in the new year......but you see where this goes.....

We have a gambler...a proper chancer in charge of us. And he's won a couple of Liverpool ties to stave the wolf from the door, dodging bullets along the way. To the point there's virtually nothing left. The only way Corney could save himself any more angst from Latics fans is he turns the tables and points the gun squarely at Blitz, Gazal and the whole Brassbank set up. It is these people who have the keys to the land. They will say OAFC is nothing to do with them and OEC is everything to the project before they can sell it for the amount they are looking for. Where will OAFC be by then???

Let me put it another way...Simon won't be having a very good Xmas and I've no doubt he will be doing his nut over our situation should we lose to Lincoln. Meanwhile, his two mates sit counting their cash over their Xmas dinner without a worry in the World. There's no way us fans can pressure Blitz and Gazal so Corney cops it. Rightly so. If he genuinely gives a :censored: about OAFC it's up to him to get his mates to cut their losses and sell us and let a new potential owner build on the rest of BP while actually giving a :censored: about us too. Otherwise...he continues to receive the :censored: he does while we nosedive further and further.

Spot on. You don't need to be Sherlock Holmes to see things are getting more and more desperate with every bad decision.

No, I'm not guilty for f a t a lot. These are fecking obvious. Evans wanted Forest job, CLEARLY more money. People need to wake up to what footballers and managers are. They, rightly, go to the money. Sherudan doesn't give a flying :censored: about Latics. His loyalty and love is to Sheff Wed. Sheridan went to work with a mate who will have offered more, no other explanation for dropping a league to a club in worse financial shape than even we are. Karma is a bitch. County are in trouble, winding up orders and dropping down toward non league oblivion.

So when it suits "things are fecking obvious" to back up your claims. And others aren't allowed that benefit on plausible situations that they think "are fecking obvious"

Priceless ?

So in other words, you haven't a clue.

OK, lets move on.
