NewBlue
Supporters have been given just under three weeks notice for this change, the chief executive is apologetic in his statement and I imagine most fans understand why this move has happened. Storm in a teacup. You aren't getting it. Fans weren't told about this being the case when they were reallocated into the JFS, and made the Chaddy the away end. If fans knew that the club had this prepared then perhaps they wouldn't have wanted the JFS the permanent home end. Giving away your home end is degrading, no matter how you look at it. Imagine the furore if any of the bigger clubs did it. This could've been avoided if the club hadn't been so short-sighted, and properly communicated with fans in the first place. stewrat
It is not just seats but suitable parking and pathways. You cannot just turn up and push yourself all round the ground on the off chance there is somewhere for you. You need to have the information about where to park. Which gate you can enter through before you get there.

Bigger clubs could probably sell out their biggest stand with their own supporters! And probably wouldn't need the extra income! Just what is the big deal?? As presumably the area behind the RRE won't be suitable, but away coaches park near the Chaddy End, so it could be a straight swap?
yarddog73
I wonder where half of the six thousand home fans we got when Corney rode into town have gone? The reason we can't generate revenue and upset fans here and there is because we are incredibly short sighted, all the reasons given for the switch at the time are now effectively null and void and this just demonstrates further how out of touch the club really are, if they want evidence why thousands don't give a hoot who really should they don't need to look far. oafc-latics
Let's just get in the Chaddy and make it rock. This. If all the effort of moaning was put into packing out the Chaddy in response, it could be a great atmosphere for both games where we may well need to get results in a tough run in. The club should market the games as a chance for lapsed/moved supporters to move back to the Chaddy one last time. There's the play at the Coliseum about the glory years, Sheridan's leading another great escape, and we had 7,000 home fans the other week. Marketed right, two big derbies at home are a great chance to build on all that and respond to giving away the RRE with a 2 for £20 deal (or similar). If the Chaddy is as good as everyone is saying, we could even sneak a couple of positive results on our way to staying up. In fact, I'm going to email the club with that suggestion now. No point criticising the negative response and not doing anything about it.

drphibes
Have the club finished the car park off in the north stand? This place is an accident waiting to happen for wheelchair users and the elderly. Loose chippings and horrendous kerb edges are dangerous and I'm surprised the club got clearance to let the public in on safety grounds. This is a brand new build, not something that has gone down hill years after it was built.

OneSizeFitz
Seems like the perfect opportunity to show the powers-that-be that the acoustics in the Chaddy aren't so bad after all.
Dave_Og
This talk of further loans from Necarcu could have some credence because surely we must be absolutely desperate to have made this decision. It's not talk, it's registered on Companies House
Dave_Og
I've just tried to improve cashflow by buying three tickets for the match - but they are not on sale. Odd given they are for the games v Fleetwood and Rochdale

Blu-Blood
Market it as "Both games for £25.00" You can't drop the prices for just one game or you would have to do it for the away fans as well, which would defeat the object of giving them the JFS entirely. deyres42
It's crucial that we make every penny possible so no offers please, if anything they should increase the prices.

daniel
I'm a season ticket holder as a carer in the JFS, Ideal as the disabled parking is right outside the turnstile. Rang the ticket office yesterday who said we can't go in the North Stand as it's sold out to disabled season ticket holders, fair enough. Only option we have is the front of the chaddy end, not best pleased as it's a crap view, and there's people walking in the front bit all game, it's also a pain walking round with a wheelchair on a pretty :censored: surface to say the least. I'll still go but we are not best pleased. I do understand the decision as we need the money, but from a selfish point of view it's made 2 of the biggest games of the season :censored: for us. yarddog73
They do their best to make the experience as :censored: as they can, it's a tactic that's worked well over the years with hundreds if not thousands of fans lost to such tactics, it's a master class in how to run a football club by our illustrious forward thinking and all encompassing leader. Three cheers for Simon ..

However they'll inevitably want to keep the prices high to get as much from Sheffield United and Bolton fans. Could they run a 2-for-1 offer legally without reducing their ticket price?
