Shez with no real experience of managing (bar a caretaker spell) took the side to the playoffs with Moores side. Even Wellens said at a fans forum the following season that Moore never wanted to play like happened in the first full season but that he needed to get rid of one or two players ie. Branston who just wanted to hoof it. We would've been up there as much as it pains some to admit it. Whatever he did at Tranmere has absolutely zero baring on us at all. At the end of the day their was a reason Dickov was sacked we lost 8 of his last 9 league games and drew the other that record would put any managers position under threat.

 

Dont get me wrong he was far better than some of the others on that list hence  why he lasted 3 years at our twat factory but their was a reason he ended up being fired. Bringing in johnson was the right decision. If he was that good at getting results when he needed Doncaster would not have been relegated in his season in charge with them.

 

As for Ronnie well he already knew Branston from Rotherham so he knew he would just club it when he got the ball. He signed scott and forbes and regularly played them and Branston ahead of stefan stam. I  fact he signed 4 CBs that summer Owen Swailes Forbes and Scott  if he wanted to play the ball out from the back he could have signed the players to do so, he didnt.

 

Rudemedic is right when he says it was a possibility we could have gone up if he had that second season but its just that a possibility not a certainty.

 

We collectively  maybe not individually were unfair on him as fans he deserved more backing than he got. The club should have given him the benefit of the doubt he shouldnt be seen as the pantomine villaim he often is. But their was a legitimate reason at the time for sacking both Moore and Dickov.

There wasn’t a legitimate reason for sacking Moore. We finished 10th, 6 points off the playoffs in his last season. 

 

Imagine if Wellens does that next season and gets fired? 

 

As for Dickov, well, he replace our top goal scorer with Warren Feeney and our best player and captain with central midfielder Jason fùcking Jarrett. That’s Darren Kelly levels of incompetency right there.

Bad result but even if we loose tomorrow we still have enough winnable games to pull clear.Having said that I am looking forward to tomorrow and if all the team play as well as at Blackburn feel we can get a win.
