Its the example set for the likes of some posters who use much worse and think they can get away with it.

There are standards set in the owtb  rules which you are obviously not enforcing.

Says on your profile you are staff, so should have the moderator controls.

Where are the forum rules?

Brilliant.

The day they start punishing people for swearing at the match is the day I stop supporting my club.

Its become the norm for youth groups to chant obscenities at matches, as long as they aren't reprimanded they will push the limits. Same with standards on here.

I'm 73yo, so perhaps don't see things the laddish way.

Tut tut Archie. Using such a disgusting word as bugger I see ? Do you know what it means to be buggered ?

Ironic... that the offending word was the sweary way to say poo.

What a car crashy cringe of a thread.

Get a grip some of you !!

Eventually you have decided to speak rather than constantly downvoting, how very decent of you :D

I have to say you set a poor standard with your tone and language .

No wonder others follow suit with even worse.

Who moderates the moderators?

I have no desire whatsoever to fall out with you BP and I enjoy your contributions generally speaking but can't help but be surprised that someone who has grown up in a town like Oldham and spent not just his leisure time but also his working life around the game of football would be sufficiently offended by the word I used to respond as you have.

Also, setting aside the language, I'm also a bit taken aback by you taking issue with my tone.  I like to think I'm respectful of other members, even when I disagree with them.

How many players were in last Saturday’s starting line ups?

None of ours were there? Don’t know about Rochdale.

Just to put the Dale team in context:

Moore - not played

Ntlhe/Williams - sub for first team

Murphy - first team coach

Adshead/Morley/Mathieson - youth team only so far but did play for first team in the Checkatrade

Cannon/Inman/Perkins/Done - first team players

They've all played for your first team this season. Half of ours haven't. FACT.

I have often thought about using the 'block user' function but decided not to, as that takes me out of the loop, to some extent.

Oh, it’s wonderful. Only downside is if there’s anything too controversial, people quote it and you see it anyway. You won’t miss anything. Use it!
