Having an experienced Chief Executive poking around the club wouldn’t work.
The reason for buying a football club is probably working out for our owners, no advice needed.

The reason they bought the club is crystal clear. They thought their players would come in and be sold on. It hasn't worked in any shape or form.

After listening to the talk shite Interview he appeared quite vitriolic towards the fans.

He's demonstrated a few times how vindictive he (and/or Mo) is at a cost to the club. Can see him getting us relegated then just walking away.

This is correct. But here they are, battening down the hatches and isolating themselves from help or reasoning. On we all go in bewilderment.

I guess AL wouldn't want anyone to see what's being going on.

They think they know what they are doing and don't need help. They only want to do it their way and refuse to accept they are wrong.

Why would any sane person carry on when it's plain to see what they are doing isn't working? They will sell Vaughn to save AL putting any cash in for a while.

After being approached by The Oldham Times for a comment a club spokesman said: "The club was offered the services of an individual at a ridiculous daily rate.

"Also the individual concerned had a potential conflict of interests that we are not at liberty to disclose."

I'm sure the 'experienced ex Wigan chap' doesn't come cheap. Sometimes though you have to look beyond the immediate price and think about the real cost of doing nothing.

If your roof is leaking you might balk at the cost of a roofer but if you don't get one in eventually you lose the house.

To be fair, this was a daft offer from the EFL. An act of desperation really.

Of course they weren't going to accept it.

If they had the wherewithal to seek help like this, they wouldn't actually need the help.

Anyway, the EFL acting as some weird fixer doesn't seem quite right to me here.

Just get the bloody ground rules right in the 1st place!
