Latics top 7 is 15/8

promoted 14/1

Norwood top scorer 25/1

win league 300/1

not allowed to combo numbers two and three. well, lm not anyway.

8/1 for top three has to be worth consideration!

We’re only 9 points behind Bromley in 3rd with 25 games left.

Rochdale in the process of being taken over.

https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/breaking-rochdale-afc-latter-stages-28201827?utm_source=linkCopy&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=sharebar

The main guy behind it, one Nicholas Brayne (formerly Nick Conrad) was once a radio presenter who quit the airwaves to stand as a candidate for the Tory Party, but withdrew after a previous interview surfaced where he suggested women "should keep their knickers on" on a discussion about rape.

He also has links/connections with Guy Branston apparently.

Sounds like this has fallen through and their chairman has had to pump some emergency funds in to pay the wages.

They also had to pull out of the Lancashire challenge trophy (whatever  the fuck that is) at 24 hours notice.

Sounds like a mess behind the scenes

Southend United: Fans' group demands update on takeover - https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/67617473

There was a protest at last nights game in the Essex Cup. Update given. Due dilligence done which unsurprisingly threw up some sneaky skeletons from the owner. 95% there. So close now, champagne on ice ...

Remember when we all thought Aldershot were relegation certainties? Currently in the play offs and into the FA Cup 3rd round with a trip to West Brom!

It really does show that putting a team together and creating a winning mentality is not just about budget at this level

Comment from manager Dave Challinor:

“That was nowhere near good enough. It's a huge worry and huge concern because we've got a big three weeks ahead of us with five games against, without being disrespectful, better sides than Aldershot, before we can bring in bodies.

"Based on what I've seen tonight, we need to bring in plenty of bodies."

They brought in the Kings Lynn manager towards the end of last season, who’d done well with them. Think he left there in a bit of acrimony.

Yes, he took several Lynn players with him including his son, Theo. Other son, Kai, is a pro dancer on Strictly Come Dancing - so my wife tells me!

So glad I read this, first time ever I’ve contributed in a conversation watching strictly with the Mrs 😂

Southend could only name one substitute yesterday.

Think they released a couple of players in the week too. Doesn't sound great?

they’re only a couple of points from the drop zone too. The delay in getting the takeover done could be disastrous.

Pretty sure that fell on its arse before it even started.

Amusingly, on their forum, someone has suggested that we should merge…perhaps including Halifax. Goes on to say that due to “Oldham’s and Halifax’s limited resources” and “no chance of either going anywhere” it would be attractive to us.

Don’t think he’s been paying attention.
