The 86/87 Bradford one was an ice rink of a pitch, Ian Ormondroyd was like a ballerina on it and we were 5-0 down at half time (we bought him on the strength of that performance I seem to remember)... Best half time announcement ever followed asking one of the Latics fans to go to one of the turnstiles with a steward as he had his brothers ticket and he'd just turned up. Instant memory recall on reading that. Yes Ormondroyd annihilated us on his own!
the_mighty_bosh
So 4-2-3-1, no Wheater or Azankpo in the squad. Really hope that Egert and Stott step up today. But it really looks like a possible banana skin.

Was it ormandroyd who missed a penalty as well after being pelted with snowballs from behind the goal? Also my mate left at half time and got back to his car just in time to see it disappearing down the road.
inspectormorose
Don't remember that bit but it's all snippets from that far back to be fair, times and places, and we all remember different bits of the same occasion which rounds it out and it's nice that others remember it too, gives it a sense of place. TheBigDog
The view this afternoon for the Latics’ fans. The large stand along the side of the pitch is the East stand which is usually given to the Away fans. Deliberate ploy by our hosts to reduce the impact of the Away following? Absolutely
