Bear in mind he's in the IOM. They're a lot tougher on penalties than our courts.

See this https://www.three.fm/news/isle-of-man-news/former-footballer-handed-suspended-sentence/

Jesus, thats is pissed.

Maybe thats why he was asking for reminiscences for a new book. To give him something to do if he got sent down.

It's not quite as pissed as it sounds bearing in mind that the limit on IOM is less than half what it is here

Five times the two limits is approximately the difference between drinking four pints and drinking ten. Neither alright, but very different.

At police headquarters, testing equipment gave a result of 131, where the legal limit is 35. Ref: https://www.three.fm/news/isle-of-man-news/former-footballer-handed-suspended-sentence/

The legal alcohol limit in England, Wales and Northern Ireland for driving is 80 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood or 35 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath. Ref: https://www.met.police.uk/advice/advice-and-information/rs/road-safety/alcohol-drug-driving

The drink drive limits are the same as on mainland UK. Ref: https://www.rhinocarhire.com/Drive-Smart-Blog/Drive-Smart-Isle-of-Man.aspx#speedlimits

Sounds the same to me as it says he tested on equipment at the police station and not that he took a blood test by a dr

Whatever

I was basing it on Dave's comment. I was only arsed to reply because of your inference that it could be deemed to be OK, when no one had said that. I couldn't give a toss about the drink driving laws in the IOM. I don't drink and having been there, I won't be returning any time soon.

Well. Can I not provide correct information, or express an opinion on something that is incorrect and which you were happy to post about without knowing the facts.

It doesn't matter how far over the limit you are if you are over the limit. That we both agree on I think.

If I caused offence by being sarcastic, I apologise. It is something I feel strongly about.

Just read an article with dearnley and Halifax. He says he hasn't been injured once this season 😳..... but also goes on to say he's still not fully fit 🤔

I suppose he’s hardly going to say

“I’ve been a crock since day 1 at Oldham and most days struggle to put my underpants on without pulling my hamstring but I’m committed to at least getting 10 games (not necessarily full ones) at Halifax”

Very proud and happy to have been able develop training for young people at @officialoafc, a page turns and I won't forget what I've been through
emotionally in this magnificent club. I wish also good luck to the first team for the maintenance in league 2.

There is nothing on the official. Would have thought the club would be the first to know.

Just saying.

If he has left, I wish him all the best in the future, did a decent job until he was put in an impossible position, given his experience of coaching a first team. He would be best served ending his association with the Lemsagan's.
