Think M'Changama was playing for Comoros when they beat Ghana in ANC yesterday !!

He played 26 games for us 9 years ago when he was 22 years old.

After leaving us he has played for 6 further clubs and currently is at Guingamp in the French Ligue 2.

I’d say that he has done okay 👍

Just scored an incredible free kick in the quarters

Looked a cracking player on his debut, but lazy.

The death of former Latics player Bill Cranston has been announced. Captain of the 70-71 promotion team. Those who saw him will remember a very combative player! RIP Bill.

He wouldn't have been on the pitch for 5 minutes a game with today's referees.

He was part of the first Latics team I watched on a regular basis starting in November 1970. One of several 'uncompromising ' centre halves we had around that time. And still won the Ford Sporting League. Big part of that side was Bill.

For whatever reason, the people who stood round us nicknamed him Ken. ' Sandbag him, Ken!' would come the call as an opposition forward broke through. He very often obliged. Very much a ball and all man, Bill.

Must have been a respected man as Sir Jimmy made him captain of a team full of strong characters.
