I would start Wilson somewhere. I might start 3 of him if we had them, a spell of 7/10 performances defence would do nicely at the moment.

I don't buy this Wilson 7/10 business. If that was the case, he would be starting week in, week out.

I'd say a consistent 5.5 or 6/10.

I disagree, I think he’s usually 7/10 when he plays, but his versatility means that the manager is likely to pick a specialist full back or centre half rather than someone who ‘can do a job’ in either position.

Disagree.  Dummigan has played well.  He has been left much of the time to defend without support from anyone in front of him.  He also still bombs forward when he can.

He plays well most of the time then has a brain fart which costs a goal

Sounds like Wellens getting his excuses in already by suggesting they'll just have to get on with it despite losing out on three new signings on Wednesday evening.

If he can't get a tune out of the current crop then perhaps we have made a mistake on going inexperienced again.  I really want him to succeed but his head his down and for someone who sounds extremely attack-minded is playing defensively and negatively.  What gets me is this is the same players apart from Hunt and Doyle that went on that run under him.

Doyle is a massive loss but Nazon was on fire at Coventry and they desperately wanted him to stay for their promotion push - play him alongside Davies from the start.  Davies is a sniffer and a great one at this level - get him chances in the box from flanks, midfield.  Push Byrne forward and sit Fane behind in front of Bryan and Gerrard to mop up the counter.

Head up Richie - go on the attack and as long as we score one more than them, who gives **** at the scoreline.

I'm not sure that 6 in 21 is incendiary

He had 11 starts from 24 appearances and played 1052 minutes scoring 8 goals. That's 2 goals every 3 games or 31/32 goals a season.  Quite prolific versus playing time wouldn't you say?!

Add to that he had a number of assists and his attacking play caused the opposition nightmares.

Coventry were desperate to keep him.  Wolves, despite their finances, signed him to two years this season.

Only weakness is he appears to tire 60-70 minutes in a game because he's explosive and gives his all.  Hence why Coventry played him sporadically.

Sob stories with the best side we’ve had for a good few years isn’t what’s required, and I don’t give it long before he’s gone with that attitude

Funny, because when he came in he gave off this tough-man persona, and it’s crumbled after a few defeats

Dummigan is a joke defensively and the new lad hasn’t played for ages, yet he’s fielded a team where they’ll both have no protection. Can’t see anything other than a loss with that 11. Really hope I’m wrong.
