In that made up scenario it would be possible that the money used, does not “belong” to our owner and still needs to be paid back. Hence it would be a daunting and difficult decision to accept less then 6 million for the club. Easier just to pretend everything with be OK. You say that Dave, but is there a way of knowing where the original investment came from? There have been plenty of times where the club was waiting for the owner to do a money transfer from abroad. ( genuine question) Generally, a money launderer would see getting about 65% of the face value of their dirty cash looking clean, legitimate and usable as a decent outcome. I have asked someone on twitter whether they know if the young lad who made his debut against Wigan as now classed towards the squad number. Regardless, we are 2 players down than we were 2 or 3 weeks ago with no sign of any coming in, and both the owners out of the country during our most important transfer window of our clubs history. We had mcalmont playing last year with a similar standard or our own players. This lad is at Spurs, should have real talent, also wasn’t the smallest. He never once dictated a game or offered anything of note for a centre mid, just shuffled the ball side to side, rarely got stuck in, didn’t win headers.
