Remember him at Mansfield. He was sought after. But that was 2 knees ago. Would rather stick with hope than go for a 35 Yr old striker who can't run or jump and has been shocking for years. French 3rd division is equal/better quality than linfield! And he's not even pulled up trees there

Didn't know both his knees had gone.😉

Scunthorpe are in the same position as is embargo wise, they are managing to find players! Surely we must have some lined up!

Our reputation stinks and they have a reasonably respected manager.

I appreciate the club needs the money but for us to survive in this division selling young players and getting them back on loan is not the answer. That does not improve the squad. We need better players than we have now or we're knackered...........

And given that the club does not have any money, how exactly would you suggest that the club goes about bringing in these ‘better players’?

Selling a young player or two and getting them back on loan until season end plus having money to pay off the loan and bring in better players might be the ONLY way the club will survive this season.

I might be mistaken, but I think the player actually has to want to come to the club, or is that not the case?

You get better players by, as you say, selling a young player or two generating money to pay off the loan and bring in better more experienced players on loan than the youngsters you sell. It's not rocket science is it? Whilst these young players such as Harry and Benny would be good to gradually introduce slowly to a side that's not struggling at the wrong end of the table they and other more 'senior' players are clearly not good enough or mentally strong enough for the battle ahead. It's two of the loan quota used.

The flaw with that of course is Mo is doing the recruiting and we all know he doesn't know his arse from his elbow.........
