What a top bloke the steward in the red jacket was. Lovely welcome to the ground, pointing out the toilets, food stall etc and applauding the fans. Good stuff fella.

Absolutely!

one of the policemen seemed to be enjoying “blue and tangerine” in the second half.....actually thought he was singing along at one point!

Isn't that much better than the antics of the Merseyside police force last week.

Enjoyed today.

Thought we put in a very professional performance and comfortably looked a league above Maidstone

I'm a Gardner fan but thought Maouche added something to the midfield, could be a decent player at a higher level once he gets to grips with the pace and physical style

There does seem to be a togetherness in the squad and they all put a shift in. The back 4 stood up well to the endless long balls from Maidstone, Clarkey  and George as dependable as ever and Rob and Dummy both played really well too.

All in all a good day at the office and fingers crossed for a good draw on Monday

Completely agree Dave - a credit to Maidstone. Was also wished luck in the next round by another official on the way out.

Bearing in mind the way clubs swallow up youg players these days Im surprised hes still with us.

Was about to say the same thing, youngest ever fa cup player should have add a 0!would be nice to see him come through play a few games, before he gets snapped. Even better to see 7 figure fee!

Well if his advisors (his parents probably) have got anything about them, they’ll tell him to stay where he his for a while and learn his trade and get toughened up playing first team football. Can only hope.

Couple of the Youth coaches have been raving about the young lad for a while now. They reckon he will go right to the top...

....when asked about it (youth players making the first team) on interview - following his career to date being almost exclusively dedicated to the development of youth players - Bunn said it was getting harder to achieve, arguably not what you might expect him to say & possibly betraying his true feelings about our Academy.

You would like to think, but let’s face it, it’s all about the money!

I dont know Im sure the big clubs can find a way to tempt a young player to their club.

If City or United came calling they could easily make an offer the parents couldn't refuse.

You could say the same about the young lad at Rochdale (Adshead) who made his debut when he was in Year 11 last year. He's still at Rochdale.

City and United are more interested in signing kids from abroad. As they become "Home-grown" for European purposes. English lads qualify automatically.

Getting him a game will be useful if any bigger club comes calling as it gets us more money.

Incidentally he will have had to change separately from the rest of the side due to child-protection issues.
