If they did not give a toss, SC would have walked away years ago.

Koukash, on the other hand, gives me the impression could chuck his toys out of the pram and walk away leaving us in deep stuff.

Not saying I am against him, far from it, but if you make that judgement on SC, then you have to e equally as critical on Koucash.

You haven't, you've simply gone weak at the knees at the sight of a bit of cash and fawned over Koukash like some dolly bird.

It's the only time we've had a credible bidder in the 10 years TTA have owned the club. The club has been up for sale for at least half that time and Corney himself has said that Koukash is just the type of determined character to take the club to the next level.

TTA's saved our club, no doubt about it, and the vast majority of fans recognise that and will always be grateful, however, Corney alone has neither the funds nor the know how required to increase the ambition and fan base of the club.

Corney himself has thrown the toys out of the pram on several occasions and by his own admission wants out. If he doesn't sell now and builds this face saver of a stand, the club will be saddled with even more debt and become an even less appealing proposition for prospective purchasers.

Koukash has made his intentions clear, he has a vision of what he wants to do and seems confident he can do it. We don't want another Chris Moore and his consortium/team must be thoroughly checked out, but, if they have the cash to back up their proposals and can come to an agreement with the council we've got to go with it.

A new stadium housing our rugby and football teams would be fantastic for the supporters and would put the town firmly back on the map.

There is always a risk with new owners but if we stay as we are, limping along, then inevitably somewhere in the not to distant future, when Corney is no longer able to continue, we will be in another crisis, and next time we might not be so lucky in finding new investment.

We haven't had an offer yet. MK has met SC and SC has told him what he thinks the club is worth. MK has probably told SC that he wants to hear a more realistic valuation, and that's as far as it's gone. We have been told by MK that another meeting is planned in a week or two, and he also has a meeting with the council. After those meetings we may be a little wiser.

No further contact from the good Dr since his last proclamation.

It's an unusual way of doing things. Perhaps he was busy.

And no further contact between Dr Koukash and the club. #oafc

MK said he would be meeting SC in 2 or 3 weeks, and the council around the same time. I would have expected him to have contacted SC by now to arrange a time and place for said meeting.

He also said that he values the club as he would a business. Has he seen the books yet? He can't make an offer until he has done so, then the negotiations start. A long way to go yet.

An outline offer could be made in the same way an offer is made on a house, subject to survey.

FYI IIRC the posts on the General Election in 2010 and the congestion charge referendum a few years prior to that both got above 50 pages. Think the topic about the planning meeting around developing BP and the subsequent march afterwards in 2007 may have gotten over 50 pages too.

There's a section of this site dedicated to long topics for more info.

We are now without some posters who seemed to eithe always want the last word or felt they had to reply to anything and everything in a thread. Edited by LaticsPete
