Anyway - looks like Matt's up and running with Latics coverage again so that's good.

Ah, them heady league one days where we were dogshit, rooted in a relegation battle all season, Hardy & Brierley didn’t have a pot to piss in....and yet we could still get over 5,800 in through the gate. All while the scum down the road were winning the Treble! (I add this due to that excuse often being used by the hierarchy to cry about our appalling home attendances nowadays)

If so then you will remember that Bristol Rovers had a pretty good side then with Jamie Cureton and Jason Roberts up top they brought over 1500 and we're gunning for promotion. We did average about 4500 that season if I remember slightly better than now but not by much.

Hands on
There are those on here who think our players are professionals and the 'whatever it is that is going on' shouldn't have an impact on how they play and there are some like me who think the uncertainty and change must be having an impact even if our professionals are soldiering on. Putting to one side the strange decisions that Sheridan appears to be making, another possibility is that our players and in particular Clarke and Gerrard don't fancy what they understand about 'whatever it is that is going on' and are just going through the motions. Gerrard is setting himself up for life after playing and Clarke has a nice contract that will see him out. We are suffering and the bookmakers appear to have got their odds right. Crusoe
It means that an asset that was valued at a certain amount is now worth much less than expected, and that loss of value has to be recognised in its accounts to give a fairer picture of the organisation's financial position.
