An update from the club regarding the response and impact of the coronavirus pandemic as well as the suspension of football.

First and foremost we hope all Latics supporters are safe and well in these troubling and uncertain times and would like to thank you for your support during this very challenging period.

As football is in lockdown for the foreseeable future and no further changes due in the short-term, the club has taken the decision to use the government’s support system and in turn furlough a large majority of Oldham Athletic staff as a result of income streams being severely impacted.

With Boundary Park also being closed to prevent the spread of the virus which is the priority at the moment, it has meant the workforce have been unable to carry out their usual duties and this decision will safeguard the future of the football club whilst also retaining our hardworking and committed workforce.

The decision in essence puts the club into ‘hibernation’ like many others have done and once football resumes the club will be able to function again, whilst also offering all staff the support and guidance that is available at this moment in time.

This also means there will be no further updates from the club via the website and social media until staff return.

In the meantime, continue to be safe, follow the guidelines to help the NHS and stay at home where possible.

Finally, for clarity, the Early Bird deadline for season tickets has now been extended to Monday 1 June 2020 with renewals and purchases still available online for those that want to do so. We understand though that more information is needed from the authorities including the FA and EFL on when and how football will return once it is safe.

However, if your query is urgent and you need to contact the club, you can through the Managing Director on Natalie.Atkinson@oldhamathletic.co.uk

Keep the faith!

Season tickets deadline moved. The right thing to do. Fully expect the date to be further extended.

I wonder how many have already bought one? 🤔

Can't see much point until we have any idea of what this and next season look like

You never know to alleviate cash flow problems when a new season starts.

Take more than that for me to buy, a start would be removing the bad smell.

AL may not be able to ride this economic situation out. It depends where his money is.

Has anyone bought a season ticket over the past month? I wouldn't be surprised if we haven't sold any!

In a word NO!

We don't have a clue as to what if any season there's going to be - the Club is in limbo as to it's supply of information to fans, the Owner(s) ; Shareholders keep us fans in the dark as to any developments and to be honest as fans - the lifeblood of the club we are treated like something someone has trod on.

Oh. by the way can you put £ 270 of your hard earned up front to buy a product we haven't got yet?

No thanks pal. Not until your communication lines are sorted and we know what the future holds!!:peepwall:

To be fair most of the uncertainty comes from the wider setting. The club can’t be held responsible for lack of information about what next season will look like .

If we do go bang we won't be alone.

And if you want to speculate about next, and indeed this, season, it's anybody's guess so it's a bit rich accusing the club of a lack of information.

IMO the owner and his  brother have  wrecked this club already. I feel no association  with it anymore and expect many feel the same.

You will once they ae gone, if we still exist.
