Since Unsworth’s appointment, we have brought in:

Rooney, Carty, Abraham, Kitching & Peck.

And there is a strong rumour about Brown joining too…

Plus there is the return of Hope and Hogan from injury.

Thats 8 new faces who could feature against Barnet who didn’t play in Sheridan’s final game versus Eastleigh.

Unsworth has been here 8 weeks and we have played 10 games.

Of those, 7 have been league games:

Home: P3 W1 D1 L1

Away: P4 W0 D1 L3

Points: 5 from a possible 21.

Barnet… you are next!

I've only just realised that the Dagenham game in two weeks has to be rearranged, so we've only got this match and Maidstone away left in November.  By the end of the month all the teams currently below us will have played 3 matches more than us (except for Gateshead who will have played 2 more).

So we have to make tomorrow count.  I'm looking for a positive outlook from the management and players in the short term, everyone knows the limitation of the players but it is Unsworth's job to get the most out of them for each match rather than wishing for a better future.  So he needs to be thinking short term at present.

I'm attending, so apologies, likely a defeat.

Going by recent performances, the only person you need to apologise to is yourself!

The postponements are infuriating, but could work in our favour IF Unsworth finally starts getting a tune out of this squad.

What are we expecting?

He’s got a chance to play the 4-3-3 he says is his preferred formation.

Norman

Brown/Clarke

Okagbue

Maynard

Kitching

Sheron

Pyke

Rooney

Hope

Abraham

Tollitt

Personally I’d start Carty, he’s at least got a bit of desire.

Unsy to play 5 at the back.

The gap between defence and attack to be massive.

To lose.

Unsy to say he needs a new team despite having 4/5 of his own signings playing.

Some fans to say losing doesn’t matter, because Unsy will come good in 6 months.

I remember thinking Rekeil Pyke was a decent player for Scunthorpe against us last season (he’s started nearly every league game for Shrewsbury in League 1 this season).

Must be the reason

It's a home game in the Vauxhall Conference so I expect us to win (which we do at home more often than not before anyone chirps up)...

I sincerely hope you're right but looking at those stats, I'd say a draw or worse is incoming

Either way, it'll never be enough now.

It is a big big game for DU and the board. Negative set up and defeat will turn part of the support toxic. If he then fails to win at Maidstone who are 2nd bottom the week after we will likely be in bottom four for 2-3 weeks while we have no game. That would put the board under huge pressure. I’m sure he knows he needs points from this game so I’m hoping he ditches the deep

defensive set up and gets us on the front foot
