MATCH: Kidderminster Harriers (H) 24/02/24 - Frank's Homecoming

Hard to understand how we can play this badly.

Usually teams who are this poor in open play are good in both boxes, we seem to offer no threat.

I know Green's flaws, but how have we not played him in a similar way to how we played at Maidenhead?  Not happy at all with how Mellon has set us up in the last two games.

Phil Brown’s plan was probably to go max effort press from the start, try and get a goal, then watch the fans turn and start booing their own players for keeping possession.

Sadly we’ve fallen for it hook, line and sinker. The team didn’t seem to be set up in any way to absorb that way of playing despite it being an obvious tactic. I don’t understand Lundstram instead of Green. Conlon not on the ball in any meaningful way - he’s headed it more than he’s passed it. Massive gaps between midfield and the strikers. And the fans booing. Brown must be laughing his head off. About as bad as it could have gone.

Sheron should go, we don't need somebody to run about sometimes making tackles who offers nothing on the ball and doesn't know how to find space to receive the ball. So easy for the opposition, stick a man on conlon and press the cb's, we panic and end up hoofing it. They've barely had to get out of 2nd gear....

Garner, Kitch, Raglan, Conlon all look half asleep and running through fucking mud. Bottle jobs the lot of them. Meant to be the experience.

Oh, well done Nathan Sheron you fraud. Meant to be battler as a bare minimum, won fucking nothing.

Just now, League one forever said:

What really fucking bugs me is the complete lack of intent or tempo in possession. We defend ok, win it back and literally smash to no one every single time. It’s not exaggeration to say that is Sunday league stuff.

We have 3 midfielders but when the cbs have it none of them come looking for the ball. But then when it goes direct to the strikers the midfielders are nowhere to be seen. Very strange.
