The fixtures are building up now. If they get out of this, they could be playing 2 games every week soon.

Which diminishes the competition.  It’s very unfair on other teams in the division.  Bury will inevitably be depleted or just plain knackered in some of their competitive games.

How long does it go on? This also affects everyone else in the league.

Plus two relegation spots look to be confirmed already.

Until the 23rd of August. A week tomorrow.

Bolton might still fancy their chances of escaping relegation, but they will need to stop playing their youth team pretty soon to do so.

I think the EFL may start suspending Bolton's games soon too.

Dale says Bury will not be thrown out and will be saved, but not how he's going to do it.

I can't recall is Dawson any good? If so, it should be simple to sign him, no-one else seems to want him.

Very good and the leader we need.

Think injuries have been a big issue in recent seasons.

What an arrogant prick that Steve Dale is. He knew full well what he was getting himself into now trying to play the victim in all this is pathetic.

He’s a cock, he also tried bringing Jill Neville into the argument saying she could provide proof players have been paid..Rumours are flying about that she has this afternoon quit after being there decades..

Tried to find it on Twitter... first thing I can’t across was this though. The Hack has been at it again.

It's almost as if he bought a football club without doing any due diligence.

Bolton suspend match essentially because some of their players are tired and might get injured...

EFL can’t allow that or it’s a free for all in the future.

Complete joke. They didn't even manage to fulfill all their fixtures last season.

Didn't Boro get deducted points in the 90s for pulling a similar stunt?

Teams who can't even get through their initial fixtures shouldn't be starting the season.

If Bury and Bolton both get kicked out, does that mean no relegation from League Two, or six up?

They will be in trouble. You can’t just unilaterally call off your match.

Bolton Wanderers has this afternoon announced it will not fulfil its League One fixture against Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday 20 August 2019.

The Club has stated it has taken the decision to postpone the game as a result of concerns over the welfare of its young players, given the frequency of fixtures and the impact this would have on their physical and emotional well-being.

The EFL understands the challenging position the Club currently finds itself in whilst negotiations continue over its purchase. However, it would have expected the Club to have first interfaced with the EFL, giving it an opportunity to consider the application to postpone, and consulted with the Club’s opposition, Doncaster Rovers before making a public announcement.

The EFL remains acutely aware of the ongoing risks this challenging and complex situation has to the integrity of the competition.

I'm guessing league two would stay the same. With only two relagated from league one. And possibly 4 promoted from conference and so on down the league's as changes to league two would prevent any promotion from conference

Saw something in a paper via Twitter that if Bury go bust it is one less relegation place for Leagues 1 & 2.

You'd have to expect that if both Bury and Bolton go bust there is no relegation from League 2.
