IceStationLatic
Corney's failed on budget promises... again. Rubbish. As soon as he kept us up he's been linked with every vacancy. He took the job because if we went down, it was going to happen anyway; if he did the miracle and kept is up, perfect springboard for his managerial career. LaticsPete
Corney doesn't deserve us fans. If he lets this happen, he will have permanently lost at least one paying customer. I can't accept that a :censored: League Two side can offer more than us. That is where I draw the line. "Let's this happen" . Sheridan will walk if he wants to . Contract or not . Which managers have been kept at a club when they decided they want out?

IceStationLatic
Although something is odd that Cooper took over and left after 5min to take over a non-league team... Yet Sheridan, who was linked with the vacancy last time, is now interested. His agent is working overdrive for media attention! But there's no way in a million years it's without Shez's blessing - otherwise the agent would be out of a job?!
IceStationLatic
A springboard to a division below though... It wouldn't look great. True. But a club fighting below its weight. longtimeblue
True. But a club fighting below its weight. A relatively easy promotion opportunity from a division he knows well? Hypothetical at this stage but I'll be massively concerned if he goes. No manager worth his salt would drop a division unless the prospects in the division above were seriously bleak. Which managers have been kept at a club when they decided they want out? It's about making him want to stay. Pay him a L1 managers wage. Give him a budget he can do something with. Surely we can give him more than Notts can.
singe
It's about making him want to stay. Pay him a L1 managers wage. Give him a budget he can do something with. Surely we can give him more than Notts can. Pay him a L1 contract? Last time I looked we were in Costa, balls being squeezed very very tightly, offering him big money contract and a bonus to save our season, and security of a 2 1/2 year contact, which he signed willingly being a step up from where he was. He's been with us over a decade off and on, he knows our budget better than Barry. And he was with Newport County, fighting to avoid the drop into the Conf., his career on a downward spiral. He's doing a Johnson or Dowie now his stock is a bit higher than it was in January. He knew the situation at the beginning of the year, and what was going to happen if he saved us and if he didn't Edited May 25, 2016 by singe
laticsmarra
All this. johnny johnny Sheridan chanting will be a bit hollow if he chooses to leave. When will we sing its "all about the money,money,money....." Just like the rest of us when it comes to jobs. They are no different IT IS JUST A JOB. Just like the rest of us when it comes to jobs. They are no different IT IS JUST A JOB. Not everyone moves jobs just for the money, and a proven fact it is not the biggest motivator for job satisfaction. Studies show it is averages only 61% importance, and hovers around 3rd place. Even less so when you have made a decent living in your career.
Andy-latic
We really do have a high number of psychotic weirdos supporting us don't we.... And they all come out when a bollocks rumour like this comes out
al_bro
Sheridan said soon after joining us that he knew the budget wasn't great, but that it didn't matter in this league.
yarddog73
To balance the psychotic supporter debate we also have plenty of naive, wet behind the ears Corney worshippers who follow us as well its whatever floats your boat. At some stage when we've blamed every player we've had along with every manager we've employed people will eventually work out the common denominator that drags us down. Not a Corney worshipper, but not a blame him for everything, in every post either. Who actually got Sheridan? Who got Gerrard? If you look at it objectively rather than naively ousting the blame game, things have deteriorated since Corney had to spend more time in the US. Other correlations exist too.. Twisbrogan
To understate it, this leaves us incredibly :censored:ed. Hometownclub
None of this can be true, it says further up the thread that anyone who thinks Shez might be leaving is psychotic. So I'll choose to presume its all rumour an conjecture.
