bozman
Phil Brown has ruled himself out of contention for the job. Come on Shez, do the same! Sounds like Brown wanted to go but Bolton couldn't find the compensation money required to get him. Southend fans not impressed it took him about 8 weeks to rule himself out and his popularity has suffered as a result. If he has a bad start to next season he might find himself sacked anyway. boundaryblue80
Players had most of the week off after getting the required points to stay up. And...... Any of them go abroad? Edited April 29, 2016 by boundaryblue80

If we are going to start being smart...you said "most of the week" not all of the week.
Twisbrogan
If we are going to start being smart...you said "most of the week" not all of the week. He wasn't in the discussions with someone from Bolton for all of the week, just earlier in the week when no players were in. Why is that being smart? Wozzer
If we are going to start being smart...you said "most of the week" not all of the week. Haha you've not got there yet have you. He meant the Bolton owner was out of the country not Sheridan.
palmer1
Yes. Really. He's our manager and has two games left of the season. Really! Really? The Bolton chairman is out the the country! bozman
Interesting that Brown ruling himself out hasn't resulted in his odds lengthening - still 11/8 with sky bet and 2/1 with bet victor.

Twisbrogan
Odds mean :censored: in manager markets until the day of the appointment. True. Not a lot of money in them & they ebb & flow with rumour although I'm glad I jumped on at 6/1. Edited April 29, 2016 by Twisbrogan
yarddog73
The odds may mean :censored: but the fact Brown has come out today and ruled himself out at the same time Shez's odds are shortening with the two firms taking bets is a little worrying, the other 9 managers in the top 10 fancies for the job have all drifted today which tells me they have seen some money for Shez today. If Shez is allowed to walk then we may as well all jack it in as a bad job.

No, but several mangers a year is no way to continue, if a manager is any good he's gone if he's no good he's gone, what we need is stability now.
