You’d think he’d be a bit more humble toward Latics given his previous two loan spells were a disaster for him. Rovers fans thought he was dire. My guess he will look back on a wasted career in years to come. Bad egg. 6 hours ago, kowenicki said: He’ll be out of football soon if his attitude continues. Ryan
Is there any real evidence that Byrne has had a serious attitude problem whilst at OAFC? Preferably something more substantial than petty bickering with Wellens who always seemed to treat JB like a naughty infant...

If he had no baggage he'd be with one of his previous clubs, in a higher division.
latics22
Lots of great players have a attitude a problem a issue. He’s a very young lad who lost his dad when he was even younger. He just needs the right manager, to get the best out of him

Everything has to be worked around him otherwise he throws his toys out of his pram. He misplaces a pass and he blames his teammate for not being there. Gets subbed and his arms go up in the air, shoulders drop and off he trudges, having a go at the manager on the way off. FB and AR want a tight knit group with the emphasis on teamwork. If Byrne isn’t going to fit in its best to let him go now before he becomes a disruptive influence. Get what they can for him, but get rid.

I say the majority of performances since he signed a permanent contract with us would be decent evidence.

You’re talking nonsense. He played 2 full league games for them. The general consensus is that he wasn’t given a fair chance under Coyle and was wrongly left out in favour of the underperforming Akpan. Literally search ‘Jack Byrne #rovers’ on Twitter and find me one Blackburn fan who is critical of him. welshgaz
I don't like him at all. That said there is always a responsibility of the manager to get a tune out of him.

oldhamoafc
The Latics fans behaviour towards Byrne is embarrassing. And you wonder why players never want to stay here? not one person has one bit of proof of his attitude or his behaviour. Just because he doesn’t fit the consensus what Latics fans seem to prefer of a player running around like a headless chicken. Hes a class player, very clever and he’s a winner, said it himself. All players who are winners have a similar attitude to him. Look at ronaldo and zlatan... it it seems like cause he didn’t single-Handedly keep us up it’s like he’s the scapegoat and he’s the worst person in the world. Byrne was ridiculously bad managed and lost his way a bit. Absolutely bizarre some Latics ‘fans’.

Same lot that were happy to see Daniel Johnson go back to Villa because it meant Danny Philliskirk would get more game time. I’m convinced that these people don’t actually like football. Zlatan and Ronaldo have earned the right to have the attitude because they're proven winners at the top level. If Byrne does have such an attitude, he's got it before winning anything of real consequence. It shouldn't be that way round. He's obviously got talent - hopefully Bunn can get him ticking because he could be outstanding in this division.

Ronaldo and Zlatan are like Jack Byrne Ronaldo was slways the first on the training pitch at Man United you wouldnt find him sulk and not take part in fitness training, look at his physique. Zlatan and Ronaldo have big egos but they back it up with hard work Byrne doesnt. Edited July 23, 2018 by GlossopLatic

I’ve seen children with a similar ‘attitude’ who just love to win and don’t like it when they don’t. It’s part of your personality. No proof he was badly managed? Apart from his manager coming out and slating him in the press and playing him out of position...
PlayItLivo
We signed a player, not a priest. Byrne has the quality to make a real difference next season. I don't see why anyone wouldn't want him playing for us, when he's clearly of a talent level higher than League Two.
