Those types of coaches are far more used to the type of structure they want with a Sporting Director bringing all the players in and the coach just working with the players on the pitch. Paul Posted May 18, 2019 Share Posted May 18, 2019 With everything that went on last season, it’s really worrying that there is no manager or backroom team in place yet, therefore delaying recruitment plans (though perhaps AL and ML are doing that!!) and no work seems to be taking place on the pitch either. Contracts don't expire until the end of June. I'd guess the players won't be due back for training until around then too. We aren't going to be getting many players in, if any, before the players return for training. The only new players we may sign before then will be very much like for like with those we let go. To be honest not having a manager may be beneficial to sign players. It could be an interview question. It worked when we appointed Johnson - we signed Korey Smith and Bobby (Cordova-) Reid from Johnson's interviews. Given the lack of coaches at the club we need a few more coaching bodies in time for the first training session.
