Another just as likely scenario (because we don’t know) could be that he has spent more then he can afford and is desperately hoping some idiot will come along with more money then sense and he will be able to escape with his money. While he is “in the game” he also has the gamble that a player will impress and be sold for a big fee. I suspect the last one was the real reason he bought us in the first place. At that time we were a “doing ok” league 1 club. He probably thought he could add his wonderful players, like Quincy, and soon we would be heading for the championship. The players he could introduce would be well in the shop window. Cash would roll in with the added value he could get if one went to the Prem.
