palmer1
Wasn't it said we wouldn't pay the £30,000 asking price, and didn't rate Lee Gregory?Yes because 30k at the time was a risk we couldn't afford. Paul Murray scouted Gregory & gave the standard response 'he is no better than what we already have'.A rough translation also means he was to expensive a risk. Isn't hindsight a wonderful thing? Besides if they had come here they would have been :censored:e. Edited May 18, 2016 by palmer1

Ritchierich
This is seriously feckin depressing. We seem to be unable to attract and maintain any decent player these days......Fleetwood Town ffs
the_mighty_bosh
Good luck to him. Could be brilliant at this level, although could just as easily be the next Jabo Ibehre.

adamoafc
Curtis is the main one for me. For how good Holloway was we only started winning games consistently when he was injured not too worried
NewBlue
Curtis is the main one for me. For how good Holloway was we only started winning games consistently when he was injured not too worried Holloway has far more quality imo. Will go much further in the game than Main. Half of the squad from last season won't be in tact anyway.

Agreed - Holloway looks just the sort of player you could sell on for a decent wedge a couple of years down the line.
Gaz_Oafc
Corney's missed out here, think of the sell on fee he could have prematurely cashed in on.

ghostofcecere
Shez (if he's still here) said he wants to play more stylish football next season, it could just be Holloway doesn't fit in with that. Good luck to the lad, I liked him when he was here
Stevie_J
Looking at the signings they've made in the past week or two, I don't see Fleetwood being part of the relegation dogfight next season.

Should be illegal for clubs like them to be good. Bring nothing to football except a terrace... We simply just got outbid. No way Shez wouldn't have gone back in for Holloway. No way Shez wouldn't have gone back in for Holloway. Why? Because they have a richer owner than us. Part of the fun of football is that you can take a small club and decide to invest alot of money in them and watch them soar up the leagues and in effect upet the stats quo. I wouldn't complain if someone came in and meant we could outbid percieved bigger clubs. Yes they could be Chris Moore but they could also be a Dave Whealen or a Jack Walker. Aarondo Westy
Fleetwood have just signed chris neal vale goal keeper as well. There 5TH signing of the summer!
Stevie_J
We might not have been interested. Sheridan was interested in bringing him in on loan, not very long ago. He was one of our best players during his loan spell. I think it's safe to assume we were interested.

BP1960
Fleetwood have just signed chris neal vale goal keeper as well. There 5TH signing of the summer! We will probably wait until after 30th June when most contracts are up hoping for cheap deals, by that time the best could be fixed up. Hence the endless speculation over Sheridan's future.
