Bloody hell, I could fully accept us losing out in a race to sign anyone tbh, as we will as usual be offering peanuts, but Fleetwood, christ they are hardly a financial powerhouse. As said above, I think we should take this with a pinch of salt.
mickjagger
He didn't watch the game. I left a few minutes early and he was parking up in his tracksuit near the ticket office. Actually had a good conversation with him. Me: You signing pal? Him: Not sure mate True story. That clears that up then ty.
bozman
Think the Fleetwood owner is very wealthy and gifts a lot of money to the club, which goes in to the playing budget. They were rumoured to be paying Shola Ameobi over £5k a week to sit on the bench at the end of the season.
singe
Definitely worth sharing. People love celebrity related anecdotes.More accurate than most sources! And maybe you will be able to dine out on that convo in years to come...!
longtimeblue
That clears that up then ty. No worries. He's not answering my texts but I'll be sure to post when he does. The tongue in cheek nature of the original post must've been to subtle.
Crusoe
When did HITC become a reputable news site? I'm sure it used to be just a gossip rag for City banks. Never had any more to it than that.

leeslover
Turnover for show, margin for dough. I saw an article about 6 months ago copied all over the papers about Posh earning more than Becks because of the turnover of their businesses. I worked out that they'd be better of if he asked her to shut her business and stay at home burning a £50 note every hour
