Had he been backed and left to manage the team with his own players I would of had every confidence in him to deliver a successful season, not for the first time in recent years our season was over before it started because the manager was undermined and his position became untenable. No he didn't his hands were tied there too after he received false promise after false promise, he then proceeded to throw the toys out of the pram in much the same way as he did here at the start of the season when things didn't pan out as he expected. bozman Posted April 1, 2018 Share Posted April 1, 2018 Not sure of the reliability of my source but I heard that Sheridan has only gone to Fleetwood to keep them up and there are no plans for him to stay on at the end of the season, regardless of where they finish. Apparently they'e lining up Joey Barton for the job in summer. Shez has found himself a nice niche as a relegation avoidance specialist. He probably gets a very nice bonus if he's successful and ends up earning as much for working a third of a season as he would in a full season in a long term job. Towards the end there was a 30 second clip of Latics away at Chelsea with Ryszard Kowenicki slicing a shot horribly wide of goal.
