Corney had personably guaranteed the debt?

Settled it to avoid being pursued,  now coming after Abdallah?

Correct. Hopefully Corney can't do anything against the club (unlike Blitz). But remember - 95% debt free :laught30:

If he's coming after AL for it why should we care?

You seemed to care loads about the resources of those involved in the FLG. But you're not bothered if our owner is at risk of personal insolvency. Weird.

Couldn't be arsed about the owners solvency.  He owns nothing but a name.  If he owned the ground then yes I’d be very concerned.

More good news?   OEC and Brassbank not being struck off in two weeks (the deadline).   Not sure why they can’t just communicate this via their blog or something though.

Indeed. Why is a front-man for the OEC questioning the Trust rep on the board for something the club doesn't own?

It's not like the Trust has a say, and Darren was presumably just asking someone who'd know the answer a question, because he's been asked himself.

I'm arsed. The owner can't be the owner if he's insolvent. It's about the only thing in the EFL's directors' test not just related to football.

He's not going to sell to just anyone if he can't own the football club.

Never fear... FLG are poised.

Join the club. Its like a weird cult that group.

it's actually got some really knowledgeable and longstanding Latics supportres in it. It's far from being a Lemsagam booster club.

To dismiss it as a cult is rather silly. It's as valid a body of opinion as OWTB.

No it isnt

If someone on here wishes to be critical of the owner they can express their opinion. Equally if someone wishes to support the owner they are entitled to that view too. On that facebook group if you criticise the owner you get banned. That is not how debate works.

I posted the same type of arguements on here as I have on there, I haven't been banned yet on OWTB I have on the realistic fans group.

And it’s precisely these last two responses that show how much work has to be done to achieve any consensus or plan of action amongst Latics supporters as a whole.

Waiting for the bus after the Morcambe game, I overheard a conversation between two blokes in their 60s. One said "I feel sorry for Banide, he's brought some good players in". This chap was totally deluded in thinking Banide brought any of this bunch in. He wasn't even at the club when some where signed, and he would have never heard of the others.

It's actually pretty clear now that it will never happen.

If the fans aren't gelling when we are in our worst league position for decades, they never will. Too many happy to accept and support very poor standards all round.

Disagree-fans will start to gel if or when results improve. We saw this last season with the cup run.

Poor results at the moment only feed the disenchantment some(many?) feel with the club.

Fans aren't gelling because the vast majority don't have any association with each other outside the social media outlets.
Too many doom-porn merchants and Twitter fuck-wits with fake accounts surround the club, as is probably the case with many clubs.

"Too many happy to accept and support very poor standards all round."
That statement is a load of bollocks and I think you know it. We all want the best for the club.

Depends how you define accept.  If you define it as shrug shoulders and move on then it's very accurate.

Director of the club is involved with this, but  with PR offensive/Anti-FLG. It's right you condemn him as a fuckwit too.
