Barnet get half of any fee If a tenth of that is put into the squad budget on top of normal funding then Barnet will be a big player next season. Chances are they will be anyway. At one stage I had dreams of a play-off final where I couldn't lose, financially. Then it all went tits up. Ah well, there's always next time. Gaz_Oafc
Barnet turned down a cash offer for Edwards from Brentford at the time. Instead they accepted Peterborough's offer of £0 but the huge sell on. Risky but looks like it might pay off.

Allocation will be around 600 which is shite given it's a new ground for many, probably be first game of the season away live on BT. If anybody is interested Tamworth will likely allocate us around 750 with a further 50 seats.
nzlatic
Really enjoying this play off final. Great game. Shows how important working for each other is, this is worlds apart from the team we watched over those last couple of months.

I'm a dinosaur, but maybe the days of risky hedge funders owning football clubs will change back to the days of boards with several local businessmen chipping in. Hopefully Frank can be joined by a few more like him. Edited May 5 by BP1960

Sadly I think that boat's sailed in this country as the Premier League has inflated the cost of assembling a decent team way too far beyond the funds availed from what's left of our local businessmen and the national and multi-national businesses just aren't interested in sponsoring teams at out level or just above. Unfortnately Frank is a "one off".......thabkfully though he's our "one-off" !!

When the most prosperous and greedy clubs decamp to some European or global league that should deflate football in this country and make it more viable financially. Sadly it no longer is.
