Thats the problem with only five subs , gives drama queens the opportunity to speculate wildly.

Behave, did you see the bench last Saturday?. I'm presuming the plan wasnt to have seven strikers on the books this season and play one upfront, then name four on the bench initially from the five subs available, even if we had seven subs he wouldn't use them he rarely uses more than one or two despite having the option of three.

Only thing dramatic about our squad is seven strikers, five right footed centrehalfs and literally no midfield, it's unbalanced lob sided and contains near on zero creativity, our only real attacking threat other than Green is our left back who Dorking managed to do a job on.

We've got a huge problem now because I think the board have said enoughs enough on the budget front and there will have to be outgoings before anyone comes in but most of those who he wants out just won't get the wages we are paying elsewhere, they are entitled to sit on these wages and despite what Unsworth wants many will probably do that in the hope that they may one day get a fair crack of the whip.

Nothing dramatic about it it's a shit show and seriously hampering us, Unsworth clearly wanted a couple in and three or four out but there's been no movement.

I'm hoping Lundstrum is back this week as he's probably Unsworths last hope of saving the day.

Hobson and Sutton supposedly out of favour too previously.

We may as well just have a squad of 16 players.

Sutton is very much in favour, I spoke to his dad last week and he’s living his dream as a professional footballer.

Rooney, Reid, Tollitt. I've heard the club are also prepared to let Nuttall and Willoughby go as well which would mean five Unsworth signings being offered out, I know Tollitt wasn't his directly but he was offered new terms under Unsworths watch, add to that Norman who was offered new terms and now can't make the match day 16.

Raglan and Freeman not used from the bench the past two weeks as well, that's some group of players seemingly out of favour.

Surely not? Reid , Nuttall and Willoughby , I thought they were part and parcel of our promotion push this season. Particularly Willoughby, we’ve hardly seen the poor lad. Where did you hear this?

The balance of the squad is wrong which causes this issue. What a mess.

Nuttall and Willoughby

Both these players were chased for a fair while by Unsworth and no doubt will be on big money.

I’ve never liked Nuttall from day one and couldn’t believe how poor a footballer he actually was!

Despite several assists, IMO his first touch, control, desire, and general all round contribution has been nowhere near the required standard.

I feel so sorry for poor Willoughby, scorer of 27 goals last season for a team close to the playoffs in the division below but who IMO just hasn’t been given enough opportunities to be judged fairly.

What is alarming however is the fact that along with Reid, now, apparently also out of favour, they have all been signed under the watchful eye of our current manager!

If he now thinks they are all surplus to requirements, serious questions need to be asked with regards to our coaching staff and our much lauded ‘specialist recruitment methods.’

If there is any truth in all this then God knows what Frank and the board must be thinking!!

Just get it right today Dave fer chrissakes… 😮

A win no good in isolation if it kicks the can down the road.

A defeat today if it meant the parting of ways might not be the worst scenario.

Sorry...🤷‍♂️

He's another player that's been treated badly - in the absolutely convincing post-January run last season, he was fairly influential in it.

Yes he was played much more in that period (where we actually looked like competing). Often started with Nuttall which looked like our best combo. Reid said on the Radio Mcr interview the other day that he prefers to play upfront in a 2 alongside a big striker…

Reid puts picture on Instagram of what is presumably his home.

12 hours later and half the squad is being forced out by a maniacal Unsworth.

Aaaaaanyway, I think we’ll scrap a draw today.

I hope it’s 0-0 so Dave can talk about his delight at getting a clean sheet.

Hang on, everyone keeps saying they just want the team to win regardless of who the manager is, has that changed now?

Maybe this is the game we give someone a hammering, springboard to then kick on.

If you want to see the net ripple that often you need to go and watch basketball.

Personally, I’d love to see us try the basketball approach that Unsworth looks to avoid. You attack, we attack, open & high tempo. Back ourselves to come out on top with attacking talent. Might not work but would be worth a try as things stand. Feels like that’s how Chesterfield are playing and are getting the rewards with victories and late winners.

Oh, hello..

Dunno about "everyone", but I think a win today is useless, if it means where going to revert to typical Unsworth next week.

If this is true , out goes his preferred 4-3-3 formation , looks like we'll be stuck with the 4-5-1 attacking formation we saw against Dorking at home . DORKING AT HOME !!!

To be honest we don’t need five strikers in the match day 16, so it makes sense to leave one of them out. Whoever it is will spark rumours. Last weeks situation where we had one on the pitch and four on the bench was a joke, and shows how unbalanced the whole squad is, and how poorly thought out our recruitment has been.
Even though I’ve little faith in Unsworth, I’m not sure I’m having it that he’s after shipping out half the players he’s brought in just because someone has started a rumour on here, although the balance of the squad means it needs adjusting.

Unless Lundstram is the answer all along and we’ve all been panicking for nothing!

Never mind the club prepared to let Rooney, Reid ,Tollit , Nuttall , or Willoughby go. Surely they should be prepared to let Unsworth go, Jesus Christ !!! Can't really understand Football , it must be the only vocation that you get a gold clock and handsome cheque for being  shite at your job !!

Yeah! Football managers and MP’s (particularly if you are in the cabinet!!) 🤣😂
