Yes you can. You can confirm whether or not they are negotiating a new deal with them.

Just informing us what we already know about when their contracts ends does not clarify what is happening for the coming season.

I think given the manager's well documented comments about the need for change you can make a pretty strong educated guess that none of them will be offered new contracts.

Even the out of contract players are under contract until  1st June 2024. plenty time to offer new deals to the likes of Fondop if the manager wants to.............

It would have stated which players had been offered new deals. I read that all of them are on their way!!.

Fondop might have had enough of this anyway

I think Fondop is unlucky not to get a new deal. Top scorer last season & second top scorer this season.

He’s a victim of the circumstances though, with all the other strikers still in contract, it would be madness to offer him a deal at this stage.

Same with Harrison. No point in even negotiating a new deal with him, given we have so many CBs still under contract.

So often we go into a new season with no squad continuity and now we’re in the opposite position, but we’ve snookered ourselves. Bringing in a new manager who didn’t fancy all of our new signings has caused this problem. In hindsight, sticking with Thommo, who brought all these players in might’ve been the best play.

Yeah, having to put himself around alot more because other's weren't doing it

If he is to leave, might help his card count somewhere else,

that was no doubt borne out of frustration here.

There's far worse still under contract.

It was DU not Thommo, he recommended many younger player not signed.

Agents and over relying on stats bombs have a lot to do with it.

I'm reading it as all out of contract players being released. Weirdly formatted though.

I'm sad to see Fondop go as he's been a bright spark at times over the past 2 seasons and seems like a really nice guy. He's also been a pain point at times and I completely understand releasing him. Hard to coach and has to be constantly directed on the pitch from what MM and Norwood have said in the past. We need players with a bit more football intelligence. He does score goals at this level but probably doesn't fit into a well drilled side if he's off doing his own thing half the time (i'm hoping we will become a well drilled side obviously). Really, if we could have a Nuttall level of skill with a Fondop level of energy and commitment, we'd do well.

I don't get the love in for Gardner, he's made of absolute biscuits and had some pretty dire performances in the first half of the season. I think a lot of people have rose tinted glasses due to him playing out of his skin recently (to try and win a contract more than likely).

Willoughby

Ward

Shelton

Reid

Nuttall

Those are who I think we are most likely to shift one way or another, leaving us with 14 pros. Hopefully Mickey has his eye on these specialists we keep hearing about.

Yes I agree. I would guess that too, but as you say it is a guess and going by a lot of comments on here it has thrown up more queries rather than clarify them.

Despite my earlier view, now I've reflected on it I think the story is deliberately obtuse.

There's no reason they couldn't have been more specific. They were in previous years, and other clubs are. So, I assume it's either poorly written, or was a deliberate choice.

It's a safe bet MM doesn't want to keep all those under contract, so it's not a stretch to believe he wants to keep one or two of those out of contract.

Are you avin a laugh…Nuttall couldn’t trap a bag of cement!!😂😂

🤣
On the rare occasion he looked like he could be arsed playing football, I think he looked very good. I think his accumulated time being arsed over the past season and a half is probably under 90 minutes though.

Not sure I agree. Thommo got a tune out of them in his new manager bounce period, but his last matches were pretty much like the ones later in the season under MM.

I'd argue the problem was signing some / most of them in the first place rather than putting blame on a manager not being able to make a silk purse from them.

All they need to do, if they are all being released is change the sub-heading "Out of Contract (June 2024)" to "Contract not being renewed (June 2024)".

Everyone's on the same page.

I am too but it's not a personality contest. He missed seven matches because he wasn't professional enough. Fans love to see a committed player, but with Fondop it borders on reckless and stupidity. Four red cards over his two and bit seasons with us is fairly damning.

Thought Kofi Moore's deal was due to end this summer. Don't  recall any announcements about an extension or  new deal.

Looked like a rabbit in the headlights on his brief senior appearance but MM seems to think he is a prospect so good luck to the lad.

Everyone's on the same page.

Last year the headings were simply 'in contract', 'released' and 'returned to parent club'.
