Anyone who still thinks that Judas was approached and wasn't offering himself to anyone and everyone who would listen needs to wake up and smell the coffee. I have heard from the mouths of Senior people at both Oldham & Brighton that this happened both from Johnson Jnr & Johnson (Relegation Specialist) Snr on his sons behalf. Let's face it we were drawn in and duped by his hashtag bull:censored: when in reality we were and means to an end, a step on the ladder.......I just hope he is treated the same on the way back down. Anyway, the season started going Pete Tong when the club moved for the rapist. Got ourselves back in contention late January but only because of a couple of decent results and us being there or thereabouts from the pre-rapist pursuit achievements. Whilst I'm sure LJ far from absolutely objected, I would have also sought alternative employment if my employers tried to lumber me working with a man as despicable as Evans. Just another one who doesn't necessarily think everything Simon Corney says is the gospel truth. Forgive me if I'm wrong but it has been proved that Judas WENT BACK to the Board to ask them to look into signing him after previously not being keen. It's not been proved, it's been argued. And even if it is the truth, the damage had been done. We were in the playoffs and flying at 5pm on 30 November after Dale. The next morning the story broke and December was absolutely horrendous. He may have thought the damage was done by that point, if it's going to decimate morale he may as well sign the bloke now. Not to say I agree with that by any means, but the way it all seems to have started it's not at all surprising if he thought he couldn't work with these people. You hope that some success can be had in their time which then creates a bond with the club and it's fans and then everyone is happy; but people move on for various reasons and that is just life. That's fine, providing it's for a bigger club in a higher league and is not in the middle of a season when it drops us in the :censored:. Judas did it all the wrong way. If he'd waited until the end of the season, and we hadn't gone up, then going to Brighton or a similar club in the summer would be perfectly reasonable.
