MK tweeting we had a friendly today with Salford and Scholes stayed with Salford the whole game. Don’t see that as a negative personally, if anything it’s a good sign. Bit of a coincidence, we would be playing them. I got the impression, he’s spinning it as a negative.

Struggling to understand why this has took place personally

Don't get what you're struggling to understand - if he's taking the job and has set up/taken an opportunity to have a good look at the players he'll be inheriting that seems pretty understandable....

Probably the most reliable source I've seen, says Scholes expected become manager in the next 10 days .

Still cant understand why it’ll take ten days to appoint.

Resolving the Salford conflict of interest isn’t necessary until next season and only if Salford become an EFL team.

AL returns to UK tomorrow - Jim White said on Talksport this morning that AL told him via a phone call.

Still deciding between the four candidates?  No disrespect to the other three but unless one of those is Mourinho then is Askey really a better option?

10 days brings us perilously near to the transfer deadline... hmmm?!

My understanding of the rules posted on the EFL website is that if Salford were in the Northern Premier League he would still have to relinquish his shares.

The fact that Salford are currently in the play off positions to get promoted to the EFL is immaterial to the conflict of interest.

Is that the case? As I read the EFL regs they prevent someone having an interest in two football clubs.

The definition of ”football club” includes clubs all the way down to the Northern Premier League.

Sorry I didn’t realised that it applies to non-league.  However can the shares now be switched to his wife or something?

No.
