Ok.  Can only be someone at the EFL then.

Out of curiosity Dave, where would you put us in the league for our playing budget ?

My guess is that only Barrow Harrogate Sutton and maybe Scunthorpe and Stevenage could be lower

can't be anything other than very low down because of the embargo.  AS per previous post not at all surprised that it could be ass low as 23rd

unless a club is lucky to find a wealthy benefactor, Home crowds are the primary driver of the clubs player budget and of course are player sales

the last meaningful Home attendance data was from 19/20

Both Cheltenham and Morecambe are now in League One and Salford are loaded

Definitely in the bottom 4 or 5 for player budget

17 Oldham Athletic Oldham Athletic 62.386 18 3.466
18 Cheltenham Town Cheltenham Town 57.653 18 3.203
19 Salford City Salford City 56.944 19 2.997
20 Stevenage FC Stevenage FC 46.628 16 2.914
21 Forest Green Rovers Forest Green Rovers 43.194 17 2.541
22 Morecambe FC Morecambe FC 40.751 18 2.264
23 Crawley Town Crawley Town 42.401 19 2.232
24 Macclesfield Town Macclesfield Town 35.960 18 1.998

As I always say, there are only 72 EFL jobs and hundreds of managers out of work. Despite being an absolute car crash of a club, we will always attract managers...

The mad, the bad and the desperate

I thought you'd someone in mind.

I'm not overwhelmed by his start but he's not the big problem in our club.

I'd sooner see a manager given a couple of seasons and prove he's a failure than just guess and keep changing horses.

It’s getting a tad tedious now don’t you think?

The same guy saying the same inane thing over and over again? I agree

the man talks complete and utter pony (and does it across multiple threads)

(sorry it’s all tongue in cheek of course)

feel free to put me on ignore too

You're as bad by making out the fans who don't attend have contributed to our current situation.

Why don't we all stop pointing the finger at each other.

Undisputable fact that less fans through the door means less budget. That's the situation they have contributed to. As was the whole point of their boycott. So not sure what you're taking issue with.

👍 Good to see that you agree with the point I was trying to make.

Also good to read that it’s all tongue in cheek too.

fwiw I have never put anyone on ignore - varied opinion(*) is what this board is all about.

* as long as it doesn’t get personal that is… 😉

This guy is hiding behind poor ownership. 7 league defeats in a row. Get him gone...

I mean there's no way that he can shirk his part of the responsibility for the start of the season and he's made decisions that I don't agree with.  But I'd be stunned if his replacement is an improvement with the current situation we're in.

That's how it should be.  There are two posters on here (albeit that one goes by several names!) that I will simply not respond to.  I may disagree with plenty that many other say but there's no debate to be had if everyone agrees.  That's an echo chamber.

No, that's the situation the club has contributed to.
