Another point will do.

Unbeaten run keeps going.

Scunny gone.

Stevenage in big trouble now surely.

Still 45 points to play for but that elusive play-off spot is looking more unlikely. :D  For me it is now Scunny and either Orient or Stevenage. I think Simpson will get Carlisle out of the mire, apart from next Saturday, of course.

Famous last words. 🙄

Scunny gone now so 1 from 6.

Just need to make sure we pick up points from our games in hand and against fellow strugglers and we will be fine🙂

Guaranteed that will be on the Scunny dressing room wall for their run in. Lol

Or, it should be.

I havent changed. Still Stevenage and Scunny for the drop.

There were loads of shoulduvs and coulduvs from yesterday, but a point away from home is still good.

Shez said they looked tired which is not good, but they need to dig in now and they can do that, I'm sure.

I'm going for a 19th place finish, bit hopeful, maybe.

Hopefully, Tuesday night goes like this...

Barrow lose at Bristol Rovers.
Rochdale beat Carlisle (I think Dale are safe now).
Colchester and Leyton Orient draw (although with the run Orient are on??).
Latics beat Crawley or a draw at least.

Let the dice roll.

Give me a point at Crawley and I'd bite your hand off. This is a really tough game.

A quick look at the Crawley message board and there was one interesting stat that came up.  In the 1st half of matches table they are 3rd place, but for the 2nd half of matches table they are 23rd.

It may be a case of weathering the storm in the 1st half and taking the game to them in the 2nd.

Yep agree with this.

It's basically between the teams who currently have 7 wins.  Rochdale and Walsall have picked up enough wins recently that I can't see them getting dragged into it again, the only other team higher than Orient that I'd consider at risk would be Bradford, although things would have to go monumentally wrong for Hughes for that to happen (it would be so sweet though!)

It started well for him

  • 2 weeks later...

8 points in March is an absolute minimum and then a win at Stevenage would give us a fighting chance but I fear it could go to the last game which I would take right now!!

We have to try and somehow replace Fondop because apart from the first 5 minutes today we created nothing and looked very much the team pre Shez!

April fixtures couldn’t be much harder and I’m thinking that neither the team that started today nor the team that finished will be good enough!

What would be the point of a deduction which means it has little chance of it being effective?

It’s designed as a penalty, not as an automatic relegation. It just so happens, that when they give it to clubs they tend to be struggling.

Im sure there is a timing issue as well, so if it’s before a certain point they take the penalty this season, and if it’s after a certain point it would roll into next season. From their point of view they’d want to take this season.
